Sharing few stats from 1940-89 films, stars which made much more impact than rest, there are other megastars also, but these are the ones which dominated with their work more.

Special mention for Ashok Kumar whose Kismet was India's 1st film to touch 1 Cr box office back in 40's, he was quite a huge megastar along with K.L.Sehgal.

Will share more for stars like Dev Anand, Rajesh Khanna & Many more later on.

This list specific for ALL TIME GROSSER achievers. Only their ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER (ATBB), BLOCBUSTER (BB), SUPER HIT (SH) are listed, they might have more films which are only HIT.

Any suggestion regarding any film/star is most welcome, will edit & include it for sure.

Yes, I want to know BO history for women and pairs. Especially Nargis-RajKapoor. They made a whopping number of films together.

Yes, I also want to know data for Sridevi and Madhuri between 85 to 95 (to compare who was more successful).

I have heard Bharat Bhushan was a successful hero in 50s. But not sure.

Oh yeah, I would also like to look at the Madhuri vs Sri Devi stats. Both were called female Amitabh, etc, and have given superhits on their own without leading male stars.

Bharat Bhushan was successful, but I am not sure if he was a huge star for a long time.
