My Take on Maya Mehrotra

The first five minutes convo of maya and ganeshji made me realize that the Maya Mehrotra is the unique most female lead of indian television so far. we have seen many grey characters and we hated them for their doings but maya's character is very creatively written.It made you think that even if she is doing bad things ,she is right,because everybody has right to make an effort to have a happy life and in today's world sacrificing mahaan female leads seem so dramatic ,you feel irked to see such self disrespecting women but maya shows her sensitive good side till a saturation level ,then she act to set things right.She was absolutely right ,she gave enough time to vandana ,she even crushed her ego many times in effort to please vandana,but when her denials cross maya's saturation level she reacted and show vandana that she is not someone who can take her insults lightly.When sanjh was acting like a mature friend maya befriends with her and talked to her sweetly but when she crossed every limit ,maya played her card.Jennifer winget is made to portray this character ,every time she is so perfect. Arjun's character is most confusing one ,His family and maya thinks he is very innocent but he is very impulsive and selfish character. Sanjh is very wrong but isn't it was arjun who is letting her come in between him and maya.arjun knows really well that sanjh loves him but he is giving her false hopes and extra space than a friend. The show is revealing many psychological layers of human behavior...

Good post. Well explained. Maya is right. she can lie to the world but not to herself & Ganesha. Whenever she goes before Ganesha, she can see her old self there. Her efforts have been genuine to be a good DIL, good SIL & a good friend. It all started with Vandana. Now it is Saanjh & Arjun.
