As he and mom spoke, I tried to eavesdrop but failed. Abbu wanted to make sure that anything related to his past didn't come to us, and that made me trust him. He wanted to protect us, and unlike Salim chachu, he wouldn't make it obvious. I chided myself for my stupid decisions of hurting him emotionally or killing Avi, but I went back to the hug he gave me to let me know he was there and the guilt stopped killing me. He was my Abbu, my superman, my hero.

Sartarji just left for the petrol pump. He just wouldn't stop pampering me.Sartarji's this behavior made me realize the importance of last seventeen years. If we both weren't torn away then, we wouldn't be able to come closer now. I knew the distances between us had come to an end now.
