[This post is entirely theoretical. I'm aware this is not likely to happen in the show, I still think it's quite interest and hence decided to share it here. There are several factors which aren't justified in this theory (Maya's pregnancy, Arjun distancing himself from his family, etc.). If you are looking for plausible theories, I apologise, this isn't it. I hope to find no comments stating that this isn't likely to happen in show as I hope I myself have put that forward here.]
Maya - an individual who gets everything she wants. She wanted Arjun.
Arjun - an individual who wanted fame, power and wealth. Maya had it all.
Maya and Arjun's marriage could have been a been a mere deal. Something that could benefit the two. A symbiotic pact. Maya has always craved someone to care for her, someone she could love, someone who could guarantee her emotional stability and Arjun has always aspired to live in luxury, a luxury Maya could easily provide.
Maya's next goal was Arjun, one aim amongst the millions she has had and accomplished in life. Arjun, too could be just another 'tick' on her checklist. Arjun could willingly provide emotional safety and care for Maya, and in exchange live that extraordinaire lavish life he always wished for. Knowing these two individuals, they didn't seem like the type who would care about love as much as they would care about their power, stability and their own dreams and aspirations.
Maya and Arjun could be a team, not fuelled by love, just mutual fulfilling of wants and desires. They could be partners in crime as well, being responsible for the death of Ashwin and the Mauritius Pandit as well as for Jhanvi's state.
If you look deeper into it, Ashwin and the Pandit, were both people who made Maya unhappy. Maya's happiness is Arjun's responsibility. Arjun and Maya could have come together and killed them both at respective places and time.
In the last episode, Arjun threatens to kill Vikram (his co-worker who ha said cheap things about Maya) and Maya gives him a fake smile and warns him to go carefully due to traffic. What happens? He has an accident. It would be so much fun if it were Maya and Arjun behind it all together.
They could also be responsible for Jhanvi's state as perhaps she had begun doubting Arjun for Ashwin's murder or came to know about Maya and Arjun being responsible for it and they didn't need fingers pointing at them.
Not just one Beyhadh person, but two - both Beyhadh ambitious, Arjun in terms of materialistic things and Maya in terms of everything she has ever wanted.
I'd love to watch this happen in the show, but since that isn't going to happen, let me know if there's any fanfictions out there that follow a roughly similar path! I'd love to read them!
