So Lohri is celebrated in many places. In India as a whole usse Saatrangri(spelling sorry) khete hain. It is celebrated for the harvesting to start. Lohri to start the harvest, Vaisakhi to end the harvest ji! Lohri is for that too, when a boy was born and Lohri was given. But since a couple of years, it's been given for a girl as well ji! Remember, a child is God's gift, and don't differentiate b/w His gift! Bachche hote hain Rab da roop, phir ek Rab nu maaniya te dooje nu kyon chadiya?
