Yes, I want Maya to be the murderer/killer.
Hate, tomatoes, shoes are welcome. Death glares and threats are permitted too.
There, I said it. I want Maya to the murderer. I know, I know, "predictable", "no suspense", "sends out the wrong message", "Maya is meant to be grey and not black",..
Well, yes, it is predictable, but I don't see anything remotely wrong with that. That's called a cliche. I bet more than half of you watch chick-flicks, rom-coms and movies that are predictable. Now, I know many of you will say the point of a thriller show is suspense (we'll get to that later), but there is much more to it than that. If that was the matter, Beyhadh could get over soon after the killer being revealed but it won't. We need to see what happens, how it happens, there's a trillion unanswered questions - how? why? when? where? what? Who isn't all the matters, that's just a part of it like the rest of the questions.
Also, killing won't make Maya a black character, she can remain grey despite having murdered (kind of).
I would personally love Maya to be the killer, I bet the show would get all its charisma back within a matter of seconds. The reasons I say this is because I don't think anyone else could play this role equally well. You want Arjun to be the killer? That duffer? Or Vandana? (I was interested by this idea until very recently.) If Vandana turns out to be the killer, the show will turn into a very drama-filled soap opera.
If Maya is the killer, at least she will do it well, I guarantee you that. She knows how to play. She know how influence and power works. She knows what buttons to push. She knows the limits and isn't afraid to cross them despite the consequences. Maya is the only character that could portray a beyhadh personality at its best. Maya knows how to carry herself with poise and no one could ever do this better than Jennifer.
Now, Maya being the killer would come with a lot of negative consequences. I want Arjun to stay with her and I want a happy ending for her. Just because she killed someone doesn't mean she can't be happy.
This is how I want it to go:
Maya is the killer. Arjun stands by her regardless of everything. I don't want Maya to kill just because she felt like it, maybe she suffers from something that caused her to kill, pushed her so much, triggered so much hate she murdered someone. Not a mistake, but not an act of full consciousness either. I don't know much about medical aspects and diseases, but as many have said, maybe she suffered from double personality disorder, maybe the things Maya can't do herself, she does when she is led by her ill conscience. I want Arjun to always be there for her, and I want her to get better. I want Arjun to cure her. Love is an essential part of curing a person, but it's not the sole solution to what-could-be Maya's disease either. She will need medical help and I want her to get it and I want Arjun to love her and I want them to have a happily ever after. [And just at the end, I want Arjun to die after having given Maya a reason to live.] The last line would add so much depth to the show, but with or without it is good.
I would love to see this happen, I'm aware many of you don't, but I have my reasons and you have yours.
