TEASER
She was mad at him. She was disappointed with him...and she perhaps even hated him.
In these last three days he didn't speak a word in his defense, he didn't even attempt to come before her eyes because he believed that he deserved every bit of her anger and hatred.
She probably needed space and time to accept her past and her present. He thought that with the passage of time, things would improve and she'd come out of her shell.
But that wasn't happening. She was shrinking and pushing herself deeper into darkness.
She was silently suffering and he could no longer see her burning herself in this agony especially because she was not at fault.
He was responsible for all this mess and he'd clear it.
" Khushi!" He called out.
His voice was soft, not loud than a whisper but still it managed to reach her ears...but maybe not her heart because she didn't stir and continued to glance out of the window.
" I'm sorry."
This time here hazel eyes moved and her lips parted.
" you've apologized enough, both in your sleep and in your senses." Now that the truth had been revealed to her, she understood why he used to apologize in his sleep. The guilt of betraying her, wouldn't allow him to sleep peacefully.
Arnav placed the tray before her and sat down.
" I know I have been horrible to you and you have every right to be upset with me but don't stop eating. You're weak and you need to recover..perhaps not for me but for Sia."
" I'm not mad at you."
" then why is the plate untouched?"
" I'm not hungry." She glanced at him and concluded. " simple!" There was a hint of irritation in her tone. Arnav held her gaze and said, " it's not that simple."
She dropped her lashes and looked away.
" Khushi, I'm not leaving till you eat."
" but I'm leaving...tomorrow." She said as she stared out at nothing in particular.
Arnav furrowed his brows. " what do you mean?" He sounded confused and somewhat annoyed.
" tomorrow morning with Sia, I'll be leaving Raizada mansion." She hoped she'd cleared his confusion.
