Thanks for the tip @iProprioceptor and thanks for the warning too

People should be careful what they apply on their scalp

I've heard about people experiencing allergic reactions - mild to big - bcz of using Henna on scalp even though they've used it on their body with no problems before

One person I know applied sesame oil on scalp for the first time bcz someone said it's good for you and had terrible allergic reactions all over the body and had to be hospitalized.

So natural products are wonderful, inexpensive and fun when they work - just make sure you're not allergic to it

^^ true!! I think before trying on anything, we should be very careful because some ingredients bring unwanted results ranging from darkening of skin to allergic reaction..

Will go through the entire thread later, but would like to suggest ones that I use(must be pretty common) :p

SKIN --

1 -- gram flour, whole milk, honey, pinch of turmeric = make it into paste, apply, leave for 40 minutes before scrubbing it off and washing your face

2 -- apply musk-melon juice raw from the fruit - this one is my favorite :p - leave it for 40 minutes before washing it off.

3 -- apply tomato - fresh juice as you cut vegetables, take a minute off, apply it leave it for 20-40 minutes.

4 --- STEAM, steam your face once a week or as per your desire - best remedy

5 --- My grandma makes a flour "sunni pindi" ..I use that for body once a week, you can add turmeric to it if you wish..

HAIR

1 --- Olive oil + curry leaves - boil the mixture, apply to hair, leave it for as long as you want before washing it.

2 --- Coconut milk - extract it from a coconut, apply it, leave it for 40 minutes before washing your hair

3 --- Grind Fenugreek seeds into a fine powder, mix it with curd/yoghurt the night before you are to apply it on your hair. Leave it overnight. Just before applying it on your hair, put it in a mixer(you'd want to do that because it hardens when left overnight).
Also, you might put it in a mixer immediately before applying to your hair because fenugreek will makes the mixture hard with time. So, apply the paste to you hair, you can leave it any long you want, depending on your tolerance level or time at hand... Washing it off can be a bit of a hassle, but, the results are soo good - I consider it a go-to for all kinds of hair problems or scalp problems or even a remedy that will make your already healthy hair better. 😃 And, it doesn't smell bad like egg/henna. ;)

4 --- Kunkudkai...(IDK what it's called in hindi), so what is done is, kunkudkai is ground to separate it's covering from the seed, and the cover(seed coat? IDK what to call it ) is boiled, and let to cool. Use the water in which the seed soats were boiled for washing your hair. You might want to be careful with the number of seeds you use, because it can make hair dry if used beyond what is necessary :-) ...You don't need shampoo when you use it - it's a natural shampoo :D

^^Sunni pindi.

I dont have so many ingredients in mine just gram flour/chickpea flour and something else i forgot.. 🤔

Best thing is to buy subra powder or bathing flour powder from stores readily available which give same results in my experience...

but i don't find anything special about PC's skin..i think it is one of her weakest traits..if anything..and that has NOTHING to do with her skin tone..

also she has bad skin on her underarms..it looks very unflattering when she wears without sleeves..she needs to look up to that area may be..

and again..i only comment coz the topic discusses her skin..

Some of the comments are pure cancer.
People talk like PC is only the one in the whole industry that have gone through plastic surgery.
Let me tell you each and every actor/actresses have some kind of treatment done to their face or body. Yes, even your fav have done some work there. It's a entertainment industry it's not the acting which sells, it's their face too. Everyone is hypocrite, why single out one?

PC is giving those Indian tips to the international audience, promoting Indian gharelu nushkes, apparently asked by the vogue. Why make a mountain out of a molehill?

Hyperpigmentation is common in darker skin tones...

Maybe she forgot to apply her Besan/Yogurt body scrub on her underarms 😊

PC's really good in this vid. Comes across as very nice and easy-going. Her confidence in herself is so damn admirable. It's not OOT like KKK, nor is is invisible like AS.

I've actually done the hair mask she talks about! Deff like it!

Although so iffy about her using lemon. It's bad for your skin!

And this is the first time i've heard of using salt in a lip scrub! Heard sugar and honey but salt sounds interesting!
