The Notebook is my favorite too. Apparently Kajol first suggested this to Karan Johar even before KANK. But KJo told her that he writes his own script. Then she suggested it to Ajay as she loved the book. She has reduced weight and then gained for the part where they play older couple. I saw those pictures too.
