oscars are pc. I knew the black people will win. As soon i saw that black guy nominated I knew dev patel ain't winning, sorry dev but black comes before brown 😆

then i saw the black woman being nominated I knew she is winning and she did

then i saw moonlight (black people movie) nominated and I knew it has to win best picture and then i saw lala land winning. I was like, this can't be. they have to make up for last year. its not good enough to just nominate them and give 2 awards to supporting actor-actress. it also has to win best picture you know and then what do I see? they made a blunder, the black movie indeed won 😆

i don't know whether they deserve it or not but seeing their political agenda and pc shit. I don't buy into it even if its well deserved I doubt it is.

and they must have made another blunder i mean how can danzel not win? not fair man 😆

He was warned before the show not to tweet, he did it anyway and his firm PwC might suffer the consequences

"The bonehead Oscars accountant who was busy tweeting during Sunday's big show " and ended up handing the wrong envelope to presenter Warren Beatty--- asked permission beforehand to post to social media, sources said.

But Academy Awards bigwigs baulked, warning the PricewaterhouseCoopers accountant, Brian Cullinan, that he had to stay offline to focus on his sole task that night " making sure each envelope got in the right hands

"He was fine to tweet before he arrived at the red carpet, but once he was under the auspices of the Oscar-night job, that was to be his only focus.''

But the top tax accountant apparently didn't heed the directive. He tweeted numerous times during the LA awards ceremony, including just three minutes before the debacle, the Journal said.

The Academy is now reviewing its decades-long relationship with PwC because of the flub, People said."

Poor Beatty? The rumors are he might have set her up... So poor Dunaway

"Meanwhile, reports have surfaced saying the ongoing feud between Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway may have helped bungle the Best Picture presentation.

Beatty was not pleased to be presenting with Dunaway in the first place, and that "he refused to let his rehearsal be filmed, which they needed to block out the entire show properly."

During the rehearsals, both Dunaway and Beatty wanted to announce the winner and bickered over it, the source said.

"It is no secret that there is no love lost there," continued the insider. "Both nearly baulked at doing it together at all."

In the end, Beatty was tasked with opening the card (the wrong one, as it turned out), and then duly passed it to Dunaway to read out the wrong winner, La La Land. The move sparked some speculation that Beatty set Dunaway up to read out the incorrect film."

Moonlight also has a gay leading character? Black and Gay - I would've correctly announced the winner without even seeing the envelope 😊

Mahershala Ali was better than Dev Patel and and deserved it. And LLL was over rated and deserved the loss. And deservedthe loss to Moonlight.

The Oscars are "PC" this year because they were called out. None of the winners were undeserving, and this makes it seem like they won because they were black

Yeah, last year's uproar contributed and so they became mindful. But it is not as in, the Black candidates won because they are black. But rather the Black candidates rightly were given their wins, whereas if it weren't for last year's uproar, the Oscars would have been fine keeping on going with things as they are.

Not to say things have changed much. Perfect example is how whitewashed LLL is, with a great white savior complex to boot.

And to say Black comes before Brown for Dev's loss implies he was more impressive than Mahershala.

LOL. They fought for that recognition as well as fight for other minorities as well. The hashtag wasn't OscarsNotBlack. It was that everyone else sat back let the Blacks fight the good, hard fight and if they did join in, only to a small extent. The Browns and Asians and other Non-Black minorities want to sit by and get the benefit without getting as involved; while at same time being snarky when they 'lose' here and there because of a campaign they didn't bother putting effort into, but will still benefit from.
