I don't how Purab's accident is going to play on the show and whether it would pave way to any misunderstanding between Abhi and Pragya or help the villains. But this is a small scene on my mind where Abhi and Pragya comfort each other at the hospital. Just a small Abhigya scene and nothing else is intended to change in the story.
Thank you so much JD for translating the dialogues to Hindi just because I thought Hindi dialogues would be good :)
Happy Reading!
Abhi sat on the bench at the lawn. The doctor had said that Purab crossed the danger stage but still he was unconscious. They have to wait for few more hours for Purab to wake up. He travelled back in his memory lane to the happy moments he and Purab had shared since childhood. Since his memory loss he often had flashes of something he didn't remember and he used to get frustrated that he couldn't remember something that happened in his life but at that moment, memories were indeed painful. He felt someone hold his hand which was on his lap.
"Kuch nahi hoga use. Doctor ne kaha he ki wo abhi thik he. Aur use aaram chahiye (Nothing would happen to him. Doctor said he is fine now and he needs some rest)", said Pragya who was sitting besides him. He could see that her eyes were filled tears too.
"Beshak, kuch nahi hoga use (Of course, nothing would happen to him)", he replied but it was more to himself than to her.
"Wo bachpan se mere sath hein. Wo mujhe chhodkar kabhi nahi jayega. Wo kabhi bhi-(He had been with me since we were kids. He would never leave me. He would never-)", he was interrupted by her wiping his tears.
"Wo nahi jayega (He wouldn't)", she said standing up in front of him.
"Tum bhi ro rahi ho (You're crying too)", he said looking at the tear stains on her face.
"Tum chinta mat karo. Me hu na yahan par. Kuch nahi hoga use (You don't worry. I am here na. Nothing would happen to him)", he tried to assure her and she nodded.
"Aaj hamari friendship anniversary hein. Usne kaha tha wo tab tak wapas nahi aayega jab tak use mere liye perfect gift na mil jaye. Wo kyun nahi janta ki uski dosti meri mere liye sabse badhiya gift he. Usko manane ke bajaye wo mujhe rula raha he. Wo jab hosh me aayega, tab me use sabak shikhaunga. (It's our friendship anniversary. He said he wouldn't come until he finds me a perfect gift. Why doesn't he know his friendship is the best gift for me? Instead of celebrating, he is making me cry. I am going to teach him a lesson when he wakes up)", he said sounding like a kid who is angry with his friend for leaving him alone.
"Aap bhi na... Agar wo ye sunega to wo hosh me ane se hi darega (You are... If he hears this, he might be scared to wake up)"
"Tum to aise bat kar rahi ho jese tum use mujhe bhi acchi tarah janti ho (You talk like you know him better than me)"
"Ha, me use acche se janti hu. Wo mera dost he (Yes, I know him better. He is my friend)", she wantedly pulled him into an argument hoping to distract him from his upsetting thoughts and make him feel better.
"Wo mera BACHPAN ka dost he (He is my CHILDHOOD friend)"
"Ye mayne nahi rakhta ki hum kisi ko kitne lambe samay se jante he, wo hamare kitne kareeb he ye mayne rakhta he. Hamari baatein kitni lambi he ye mayne nahi rakhta, un baaton se juda hua matlab mayne rakhta he. Jaise ki, hum dono abhi hal hi me dost bane, par aap mujhe apna sabse accha dost maante he na (It doesn't matter how long we know someone, what matters is how close they are to us. It doesn't matter how long the conversations are, what matters is the meaning associated with the conversation. For example, we became friends only recently but you consider me as your best friend na)"
"Tumhari baatein se lagta he tum philosophy ke baare me bahot baatein karti ho (You sound like you talk a lot of philosophy)"
"Philosophy? Iska philosophy se kya lena dena? Waise bhi, mene Philosophy padhi he, shayad isiliye meri baaton me uski jhakak aa jaati hogi (Philosophy?! What does it have to do with Philosophy? Anyway, I studied Philosophy so there might be philosophical tint in my talks)", she gave a half-shrug.
"Tum ne Philosophy padhi he? Mujhe laga tum ne English padhi he (You studied Philosophy? I thought you studied English)"
"Maine English bhi padhi he. Mein dono subject me graduation kiya he (I studied English too. I graduated in both subjects)"
"Dono subjects? Ewww (Both subjects? Ewww)"
"Kya? (What?)", she was offended.
"Tum ne kitna kuch padha he. Abhi meri samjh me aaya ki kyun Purab hamesha tumhari side par hota he. Tum bilkul uske jaisi ho. Padhaku, serious aur philosophical (You have studied so much Fuggy. Now, I understand why Purab is always on your side. You are so like him. Studious, serious and philosophical.)"
"Wo meri side par he kyunki me sacchi hu (Purab is on my side because I am right.)"
"To kya mein galat hu? (Oh then I am wrong?)", he crossed his arms.
"Meine esa nahi kaha (I didn't say that)"
"Phir... aur kya matlab tha tumhara? (Then... What else did you mean?)"
"Hum Purab ke baare me bat kar rahe the na. Aap kyu ladna chahte he abhi? (We were talking about Purab. Why do you want to fight now?)", she said with an annoyed face.
"Tumhara esa chehra dekhne ke liye (To see this expression)", he said pointing to her face.
"Udasi tumhe suit nahi karti aur mujhe pata he Purab thik ho jayega. Wo accha ladka he. Tumhare bhagwan acche logo ke sath nainsafee nahi karenge. Hein na? (Sadness doesn't suit you and also I know Purab would be fine. He is a good guy. Your god wouldn't do injustice to good people. Would he?)", he said gesturing her to smile.
"Purab thik ho jayega (Purab would be fine)", both of them said at once.
"Abhi", they heard Mithali's voice.
"Purab ko hosh aa gaya he (Purab got conscious)", she announced as she saw both of them.
Both of them went inside the hospital with happiness filling their hearts.
