Rangoon took seven years to materialize? Damn!! That gotta hurt.. I feel bad for Vishal... Is the film ahead of its time or just bad?

Better than the political shizz.. Rangoon review thread is dead and I really wanna know if the movie is indeed bad or just one of those that might get the appreciation later on

In those 7 years, he couldn't think of a better climax. 🤪

The screenplay wasn't tight but the leading cause was the poor last 15 mins. It's still a decent film - not his best but had sincere performances and technical aspects.

In a few months, there will be threads like... Rangoon was good... not sure why it failed?

Thats what I wanna know too.. So many movies that don't do well on release are now considered classics.. I am just curious if Rangoon belongs to that league.. I would have watched it but I don't like war related movies

Films based Wars & Soldiers worked like Border or Holiday. Just no one cares for World War 2 cause that had literally nothing to do with India

Trust me ... "War" is only a backdrop. It's a love story 😃.

Give it a chance sometime. Team did well... they deserved a better outcome.

Vishal's movies aren't made for the mainstream so it being a flop doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad movie. It just wasn't for the typical audience.

He usually uses tough Hindi too. I have a hard time understanding everything (and I bet others have similar problems) and need to use English subtitles.

That's not to say all his movies are good. I have liked a few and disliked a few too. He really should make them on very low budgets though because clearly they're not for everyone.
