Great write-up 4 an epi that was difficult to analyze.

I too was glad that S agreed on d imp of a dad in Soha's life & went w Soha to meet D. As u say, praise-worthy indeed.

However it was indeed disappointing that S did not have an open discussion with Soha to comfort & support her. Loved the parallel abt IshDev, thot-provoking!

What Ish shld hv done, is indeed tough to answer. But at the end of the day poor Dev again pays a huge price for someone else's action which he wasn't even aware of.
The new PapaDev again stood tall!

I too had some gripes with CVs but as you say, let's not nit-pick.

Lastly, yeah if only Dev&Sona wld hv hugged each other...sigh...
They do deserve a 2nd chance!
Loved this...'Too many bridges to cross and many miles to go'

Thx for ur detailed feedback, really appreciate it 😊

It was indeed a difficult epi to write about, i took ~4.5hrs to write it, amidst dabbing my moist eyes while writing about the DevAkshi scn & the last scn.

Tbh, I was glad the importance of a dad in a child's life was touched upon.

The Sona-Soha & Ish-Dev parallel was so eerily familiar, I had to write about it 😆

Dev bears the cross for his family's misdeeds every time...Sigh!!

And what do I say about that hug?!!!

Sorry, missed responding to this!

Your post is hilarious 😆😆😆

I guess one can call this "taking creative liberties". All is fair in Love & War... And in a Fiction show 😆... What say?!!!

Dear Suchi,

If the episode had me all choked up, your review got me welling up even more. How intelligently you deconstruct each and every minute of the episode.

Kitni ajeeb baat hai na Maa, apne bete ko bachaane ke liye, tune usey uske zindagi ki sabse badi khushi se door rakha... Galati shaayad meri hi hai, meri kismat hi kharaab hai..Pehle mera pyaar mujhse chhin gaya aur phir aulad'.

When these words were uttered by Dev I felt a single tear slide down my cheek. This man is truly unfortunate. A troubled soul who could only find solace in Sonakshi and her love for him. My heart just goes out to him. Kudos to Shaheer Sheikh for such a moving portrayal of Dev Dixit. He is truly the finest TV actor today.

When he was speaking to Ishwari I really wanted him lash out at her , scream at her, break his constraint with her to make her realize how terribly he is suffering. I have never hated Ishwari more than I hated her in that moment. I guess what bothers me is that she still hasn't realized how largely she is responsible for Dev and Sona's separation and this is also because Dev has never openly blamed her for it. And I am thinking he never will after all she is his mother.

Hi dear,

Firstly thanks so much for your kind words. I am happy I could at least attempt to do justice to the emotionally charged episode. It was a difficult epi to analyze & had me teary on many occasions.

I have run out of words in my limited vocabulary to describe Shaheer's acting prowess. He elevates every emotion, every scene to quite another level. He is simply the BESTEST.

Yes I know what u mean about wanting to have Dev lash out at Ish. I too don't really hate Ish, have even seen someone quite similar to Ish, but sometimes her actions really makes one want to detest her. Lately, she is being shown more & more manipulative & self-centered that the contrast between her previous grey shade to her current evil streak is quite difficult to handle.

You are absolutely right, I doubt if Dev would ever lash out at Ish. His past, his emotional baggage of complete servitude, gratitude & indebtedness towards Ish will always hold him back from completely venting out his ire on her. At least for now, it seems like that, unless something related to Suhana comes up that Ish messes up again & he finally loses his cool. The poor guy deserves a 2nd chance at happiness & in my view, deserves it the most.
