Agree with you all that its high time Dev manup and stand for Son's legitimate rights moreover now he has a daughter if he wants to be with her, he should show people their place in his life so his wife and daughter will be treated with respect. Now the million dollars worth question HOW? It will be a HUMONGOUS task to stop Ishwary or defend sona whenever she accuses the latter because of Ish's manipulative and blackmailing nature. ( pl bear in mind, he has given undue importance and supremacy to her in his life, which can't be undone now). My understanding is ladies like ISh they may give up their life rather than do things against their wish. they have such strong conviction about their deeds that whatsoever happens they will not bend or accept their follies. They may give up their life rather than live a forlorn life even if its their fault which they will be adamant to accept because of their strong conviction. They have a blurred vision when it comes to values and a very strong superiority complex and an unflinching faith in what they do. Just imagine if Dev speaks up his mind and emphatically states he choose sona and soha, Ishwari will commit suicide rather than accept her mistakes and acknowledge Sona's influence and importance in her son's life more than her. she is fine with living in a fool's paradise assuming that she is the queen of his kingdom even if his actions speaks contrary to that. (her agenda is if not me noone else). Unless the words are spoken out she lives in the delusional world. Do you think Dev will be able to live a contended life after she commits suicide even if he knows that he is not responsible for her death?
Everybody gets angry with Dev for not defending Sona, give me one practical solution how he can deal with a lady like Ishwary in the given situation?

Agreed! You have brought down the exact point of how Ishwari's character actually is. But I have always felt that tge story is about Dev and how he manages 2 important ladies of his life. It is upto him to make Ishwari comfortable and feel secure. The thing I have understood about Ishwari is that over 28 years Dev has been giving utmost importance to his mother and following only her commands. All of a sudden there is this 'nutrition' who comes and Dev starts listening to her as well. That is where the insecurity stems from. She is scared now that she was at the most superior position but for the first rime, Dev has given someone that equal position. So she is scared of her being kept at a lower position than Sonakshi. It is upto Dev now to make her feel secure

Agree completely! Dev cant let his mother die coz she will do such things. He can't change her. Wonder how this will play out. Also he has to win back the confidence of Bijoy and SOna's fly too. As of now he still looks unable to act on anything. He just gets disturbed seeing people moving on and not able to take charge of his own life.

Firstly, build a new house for mamaji & family, send them there thus make a gkb/gkbkb free dixit mansion...half problems solved . ( bhabhi teek hi toh keh rehi hai ..that'll end too ) I'm sure , golu will b missed by everyone so badly

Secondly, fix an appointment with a psychiatrist for maaji . Hpefully everything'll b fine

Jokes apart, it's really difficult to handle such complex personalities in real life .

Unless Ish herself understand her follies noone can help Dev...as he rightly said many a times, taking decisions in business is easy because you decide using your intellect, but in family you need to be careful as it deals with people's emotions/sentiments...dealing with manipulative lady like ISH next to impossible...she knows the importance of Sona in Dev's life but she denies it categorically...what can you do?

they are so prejudiced, they can't see the virtues in other person...whoever thinks Dev should shut her up, doesn't understand, that's not the ideal solution.. don't ask me what's then? because I don't have an answer

Thanks for understanding Dev's current plight...he has to undergo all these pains, because of one woman whom he has worshiped all his life...he is restrained so much so that he wants to rebel but his inherent virtues(which hasn't died even after living in dixit household) doesn't allow him to do so... that's why I don't agree calling him spineless...in his current predicament, he is helpless...if its not his mother but someoneelse he would have smashed them by now

i read some spoiler about elena telling sona about how different dev is with ishwari and sona being shocked.i really really dont think of sonakshi as a sort of person who would rejoice at that information.she will feel sorry for Dev at having lost all his relation.i think sonakshi may even feel pity for ishwari.i am in no way justifying ishwari.i think sonakshi is a compassionate person.after all she is Asha's daughter.once upon a time she genuinely cared for even ishwari.

So we will be needing another leap where Ishwari goes to Himalaya or above it.
