I find soha too mature for her age. You mentioned your son. In the boses case their household seemed like a happy household so probably it's her inherent nature.

Yes quite possible. However, the point that I was trying to make is that the behaviour of children is often influenced by what they see ,hear and experience..Soha's behaviour could have been influenced by her seeing her mom's struggles and pain

But still I have a problem with a lot of her dialogues. Being a mature kid doesn't mean spouting adultish dialogues & so many of them. After she's only 6.

Also sometimes we try to be the ideal parents. As a parent I find it hard to balance my role as a parent & friend of my kids. Here sona is treating soha as an adult. She seems to have lost the fun part of her childhood but I see glimpses of it when she interacts with dev.

I think there is nothing like perfect parenting but in this case we can see what dev can offer soha which sona is unable to in her quest to probably make her relationship with soha as opposite as possible to what she had seen between dev & ish.

Very well said..There is indeed no perfect parenting and as parents we too learn something new every day. However Dev could probably offer the balance that Soha seemingly needs. The kid indeed comes up with many "adultish dialgoues",as u have rightly put it

Suhana is definitely very mature for her age! It is remarkable to see how intelligent she is and how she reacts cleverly in difficult situations. She is a 6 year old but she has the mind of a 30 year old. She connects with older people because she is too advanced for her age.
Dev is her father and she has clicked with him because not only are they blood related they have similar likes and dislikes.

I have just tried to state what I observed about a fictional character in a serial. My opinion was that the character is shown to be way too mature for her age.I surmised that it might be because she had been exposed to the struggles and fears of her mother at a tender age and this might have shaped her personality.U could disagree with me or agree with me.That would be your opinion.

However,it is unfortunate that I am being accused of having judgemental biases when I am merely stating an opinion based on an observation of scenes and behaviour shown in the episodes of a serial.

My comment was not just aimed at your post but the inviting comments which are unfortunately quite judgmental. I just wanted to say that we are reading too much between the lines. Anyway, I read your post again to see where I misunderstood, but I still feel its biased/ skewed and unfair to the fictional character of Soha. I did not accuse you of anything. May be I lack the insight you have about the show. We both see the same show but interpret it differently.

Apart from the circumstances the way a child is treated by her family members makes a huge difference .The same Soha is playful and cheerful when she is around Dev whereas she behaves like a Dadi Amma around Bose family .She has sensed that her mother doesn't like to see her behave like a 6 year old so to please her mom she behaves as a mature girl who can handle everything and follows rule book blindly.Remeber the trophy incident where she was asked to behave like miss Bose and not like 6 yrs old .

What Bose family is missing is she is all alone in the school with no friends as children of her age cannot relate to her .Just like her mom she has no friends and what a irony her mom's first true friend was Dev and Soha's first friend is Dev again .

Soha needs Dev in her life before it's too late ..the reason she craves to be with Dev is because he treats her the way she always wanted to .He is her first friend in this new city and because of him she has found a new friend Golu who can help her mingle with other classmates . Having no friends and no one to talk to in school can have a very bad impact on child's development.

Well said...I think there are differences of opinion act whether Sona did the right thing in not telling Dev. I think even when Sona is trying to be a good mother, it's sad that she can't read her daughter and realise that she is missing her dad...
Yes agree... she has grown up too soon...missed all her childhood... let's hope Dev can give some of it back to her...

I agree with Tia's post. Sorry rock&roll, although different pov but nice post .. 👍🏼 But honestly I cannot try and search for the unsaid longings and unhappiness when the child is just doing fine. Maturity is subjective. I have seen many kids even with both parents being more mature than their age and being introvert. It's simply personality of individual. Sona didnt make any games of being slapped etc etc to make Soha this way. She, by default is likewise. She becomes a kid around Jatin too !

Anyways, my thoughts.
