"Don't Like Staying In Shit": PC on leaving BW!
Celebs @ Sooraj Barjatyaâs Daughter Reception
I don't get the hype around Dhurandhar Returns
IPL 2026 Schedule - Phase 1, Matches List
I cannot tell you how much I would like this to happen and how much I agree with you.
I have always felt that Shakti loves Shivvay more than Pinky but he does not approve of his sons ways.
Shakti is the quiet strength that holds his house together and is his mothers solace. He stands up for what is right in his own way without making a show of it.
Shakti has always supported Annika as a daughter-in-law with Pinky and even without Annika knowing it. He does not do it for outward show but supports her on the quiet even when she is unaware of his support. I think that is the mark of a real gentleman not to do things only so that you are approved for it but doing it because you think they are right. Pinky has no idea what a gem of a man she is married to.
Even when Annika wanted the loan it was he who helped acquire it for her. He knows what a hardworking, self-respecting and sincere girl she is. When she married Shivvay he brought the papers to her room - he did not ask her to come to him. That shows that he treats her as one of the Oberoi Children and with due respect as his daughter-in -law.
Shakti has missed out on the love, adulation and affection from his son who was monopolized by Pinky and would build such a wonderful and deep bond with his daughter if given the chance. Annika is so much like him in many respects. I would like if she started giving him the importance and respect as her father on the show. He, as you said, would be her biggest ally and support against Shivvay's intimidation and force. He is Shivvay's father and has all the rights and privileges to hold him by the ear and ask him to behave himself with her or face the consequences meted out by his father.
Shakti was the best part of the episode for me today.
I loved him today, as he was affectionately watching his son try and revive old memories between him and his wife. He was impressed by the lengths that Shivvay was going to, to get Annika to remember and amused with the cow dung throwing antics as well. His explanation to Rudy with his arm around his shoulder was classic proud father like. His smile at Annika's reaction was so sweet and natural. He does like the girl very much.
He missed out on all the exciting 'run-ins' that they both had prior to marriage and knows almost nothing of his 2 children but he is taking the trouble to catch up and make up for the lost time.
Shakti's character has so much potential and I do hope they explore that in relation to his relationship with Annika more than Shivvay
Issi baat pe ek OS ho jaaye? I want to at least read something of this sort. You've put it together so beautifully. I really really wish CVs explore Shakti's charecter over Pinky's drama in the future.
