I wouldnt blame a bad singer like Atif for the trend. He doesnt compose but sings what is given to him. Also there are lots of good singers. And I agree with Love Katty that Himesh actually is a good musician. Atleast makes catchy songs. The trend mainly started with the movie Cocktail when Honey Singh was discovered by BW. Then they started adding his old and new songs, HS has disappeared but his old songs remain to be remixed. Then there is HS Jr Badshah who can compose good originals but producers take the easy way out by using existing songs. Its like the repeat of the trend of south masala film remakes we used to have till 2014 only now its moved on to the music industry. Atleast few Pakistani originals used to bring relief but thats stopped for now. People should look at the success of ADHM music and realize public prefers new originals.
