@ashpat: Good post. You have indeed put this forward which others didn't do. When Maya had bailed out Ayaan when the situation was hopeless to bail him out on the same day, Saanjh's face had become very small. She became dull that she could not do it.
Maya had indirectly knocked some sense in Arjun's head so he went to her and apologized to her for behaving rudely with her and gave her the rights of a mother. Saanjh could not do the same in those 20 years which Maya did it in no time.
To begin with, Maya not only gave him a job of an intern but also tolerated his unprofessional behavior like having an ice cream with Saanjh during the office hours. He was supposed to be in the conference hall and give the presentation. Forget about that, he had not even made the presentation ready. Maya still retained him though she had hated him initially. Arjun had behaved that way in other places too and was kicked out of the job for this reason. He has got job stability only from Maya's company. him perks and promotion. Hypothetically speaking, even if Maya had not loved Arjun she still would have promoted Arjun as a Sr. photographer if his work is good.
Not only that, she also gave him an opportunity for the solo photo shoot at Mauritius and had risked her life to save Arjun in the lonely island where there was a tide. She would have done that even if she had not loved him but still she would have done it as a part of the employer responsibility.
It is time for Saanjh to understand that friendship & love are different from each other. She told Arjun tu itni lucky nahin. But the fact is she is not lucky to get a life-partner in the form of a friend. Her state is like a fox that said grapes are sour because it could not get the grapes.š
