Dangal recorded the third highest footfalls of all time in the first week but it did fall short of the 2 crore mark which was achieved by Sultan and Bajrangi Bhaijaan. Dangal has tax exemptions from the second week onward and that will help increase the footfalls going forward and this will give it a chance to beat the Bajrangi Bhaijaan figure which is the highest in the last fifteen years. The film has to go that much further to beat the footfalls due to ticket rate hikes over time. The first week footfall comparison of the big five films released in the last few years is as follows.
Dangal
Gross - 2,65,73,00,000
Footfalls - 1,92,65,000
ATP - 137.93
Sultan
Gross - 2,90,41,61,000
Footfalls - 2,19,34,000
ATP - 132.40
Bajrangi Bhaijaan

BOI walo ne ye article post kiya tha. isme jo Average Ticket Price (ATP) diye gaye hai o overall ticket prices ke ATP na hokar un films ki jo tickets biki (footfalls) hai unke ATP hai. ab ye tickets alag alag cinema halls me alag alag prices me biki hogi. jaise ki single screens me ticket rates 30-40 se lekar 150 tak hote hai aur multiplexes me 150 se lekar 500 tak aur kuch badi screen wali multiplexes me to even 1000 plus bhi hote hai.
Kuch films ki kam prices wale cinema halls me zyada footfalls hoti hai to zyada prices wale cineme halls me kam, kuch films ki dono cinema halls me equally footfalls hoti hai aur kuch films ki zyada prices wale cinema halls me zyada footfalls hoti hai aur kam prices wale cinema halls me kam footfalls hoti hai.
Jin films ki footfalls ka zyada percent hissa zyada prices wale cinema halls me se hota hai unke footfalls ka ATP bhi zyada hota hai compared to jin films ki footfalls ka zyada percent hissa kam prices wale cinema halls me se hota hai unke.
BOI ke article ki un paancho films ke 1st week me koi film multiplexes me zyada chali hai to wahi same film single screens me kam, koi film multiplexes aur single screens dono me lagbhag same chali hai aur koi film single screens me zyada chali hai to wahi same film multiplexes me kam.
1st week me kisi film ke multiplexes me footfalls zyada hai to usi film ke sigle screens me footfalls kam hai, kisi film ke multiplexes aur single screens dono me footfalls lagbhag same hai aur kisi film ke sigle screens me footfalls zyada hai to usi film ke multiplexes me footfalls kam hai.
Means usi same film ka 1st week ka multiplexes vs single screens footfalls ratio 50-50% na hokar kam-zyada hai.
Ab jab multiplexes me zyada footfalls aur single screens me kam footfalls wali film ka comparison multiplexes aur sigle screens me lagbhag same footfalls wali film ya sigle screens me zyada footfalls aur multiplexes me kam footfalls wali films se hoga to zaahir hai ki in films ki Average Ticket Price (ATP) me fark hoga hi.
Dangal aur PK ke 1st week me multiplexes me footfalls zyada hai aur single screens me kam. inka 1st week ka multiplexes vs single screens footfalls ratio shayad 60-65% vs 35-40% hoga ya is se kam-zyada bhi hosakta hai.
Sultan, Bajrangi Bhaijaan aur Dhoom 3 ke 1st week ka business multiplexes ke saath saath single screens me bhi equally strong tha to inka 1st week ka multiplexes vs single screens footfalls ratio shayad 50-50% hoga ya multiplexes me zyada hai to bhi shayad multiplexes 55% vs 45% single screens hoga ya is se kam-zyada bhi hosakta hai.
Zaahir hai ki high ticket rates wali screens per jis film ke footfalls ka ratio % jitna zyada hoga to uska Average Ticket Price (ATP) utna hi zyada hoga.
Same year me release huwi films ke ticket prices to same hi hote hai phir chahe o holiday weekend per aaye ya normal weekend per. Sultan, Dangal, Raees aur Kaabil ki ticket prices aur unka Average Ticket Price (ATP) same hi hai. footfalls per Average Ticket Price (ATP) is liye kam zyada hoti hai ki har film alag alag prices wali screens per footfalls % ka ratio alag alag hota hai. multiplexes aur single screens me footfalls ratio ka % har film ka same ho to Average Ticket Price (ATP) bhi same hi hoga.
