i feel sorry all those guys who voted for qazi all the way. we indians dont know the difference between good and bad....qazi is a good person he may become an actor but as far as singing goes he is a big zero.....
no doubts how people like laloo yadav and shahabuddin (just to name a few) win in elections. dont blame them for scams and crimes....we should blame our selves for voting in the worst and keeping out the best.
once again, no offences to qazi....but his singing is no good...., the audition process is to blame Qazi and people like Monica, Sandeep were not supposed to be there.
kudos to the whimsical Ila Arun for her stupidity....

Qazi should never have been selected in the audition process. He is a very bad singer. Look at the quality of people(singers) in SA RE GA MA PA.
Fame gurukuls students are no match for the stalwarts of SA Re Ga Ma Pa.
Ila Arun showed to the world what kind of a lady she is by taking wrong descisions and fighting with her collegues.
The two mentors in Gurukul are very good, hope Qazi and rooprekha and the rest would show their gratitude to those two wonderful people of the faculty.
any ways wish Qazi and Rooprekha all the best. Bust sincerely, Qazi doesnt deserve to be there,but who can beat destiny!!!

We are in Dubai and though we get to see this program one week later, it was sad when i came to know that qazi was selected as the fame jodi with rooprekha. i think he is a horrible singer and does not match rooprekha at all. i always wanted rex to be with her. i know there was definitely some internal golmal where rex rooprekha is concerned.

I congragulate Qazi and roopreka, they make a good pair,one could nperform and the other would entertain the public. i think Qazi is still immature and not fit to be in fame jodi purely on singing basis, rex is better, but i started to hate rex when he started to bully and demoralise Qazi for no fault of his, any way good overall family entertainment.

The contestants not upto the mark and
judging just ridiculous...
FACULTIES WERE AWSOME..they were really good..
they did the best with the kind of people they got to improve...

I am not sure what people like so much in Qazi. Yes he is humble & maybe he has some talent..But is everyone deaf? Have you heard him sing? or are you just carried away by how he appears?! He has no singing talent whatsoever & I thought fame gurukul was about singing.People please wake up & see the difference between good & bad, this is a ridiculous jodi. Ruprekha atleast sings well but Qazi croaks. I agree Saregama is way superior.

Its no use criticising Qazi for making it to the top. For starters he had auditioned and made it to the gurukul. Secondly, this 1 crore singing contract is all about popularity and Qazi is outstanding on this count. His popularity alone guarantees the sale of albums that would be released soon. At the end of the day it is all about commerce and Qazi is already a commercial success.

This competition is insult to India and singing talent and fair decisions made in India. The singers like Arijit, Kirti and many others were thrown out of the competition and person who even should not be selected for initial 14 has been made a Fame Jodi. I believe there was some gang working for Qazi and certainly there was a fake voting. If you have watched this show regularly, probably you have noticed wrong decisions and fight between faculty & Javed and within faculty, etc. Javed Akhtar didn't tell us why he has selected Qazi & put Ruprekha in danger (last time they sang). Javed said they discussed lot of things, I wanted to know the criteria on which he based his decision BUT there was no single comment. He was always finding many things in other singers but he stopped telling anything bad in Qazi's singing. I think judges need to learn a lot. Did you see how Ila was fighting with faculty members? How can we ask such people to decide about these serious competition? Ruprekha is a very good singer but Qazi should not be there.
The people of India should wake up. The person who has worst or NO singing talent, has been made a Jodi. Something is going in very bad direction but I think same thing is happening in Bollywood.

I think it is extremely ridiculing to digest the fact that so many people in our country are so stupid. I take that back. I mean the people who voted. I see absolutely no qualities of a "promising" singer in Qazi. I think he was terrible. Just delivering dialogues and dancing isn't what fame jodi is meant to be. I thought you had to be a good "singer" as well. Its extremely sad that we give so much time, love and support to people like Qazi. I have lost all the respect I had for Ila Arun. She proved that she is extremely stupid. I think other shows like Sa Re Ga Ma have deserving singers who have a lot of quality in singing as opposed to doing drama and monkey business.

Fame Gurukul has been made such a hype which has make the show interesting. The conflicts between judges and faculty, the questions aaked by the comperes to the students have helped keep the TRP high!!. But when it boils down to Fame Jodi..... Qazi and Rooprekha!!. Qazi is a good performer as many have seen and ruprekha is a good singer, BUT not a great singer. The reason why I say this is many like Aripta,Rex,Arijit and Mona have been more versatile singers who had been eliminated at some stage or other.
I have to agree with many others that FameGurukul is no match to SaReGaMaPa when it comes to singing talent. That is indeed a true singing competition.
Anyways Qazi and Ruprekha both seem good at heart and the results must have been in favor of them because of this.

I have been reading all the interesting comments as well as those with really poor tests on this blog and at last found a mature evaluation of this whole saga in Bang's feedback. I agree with Bang. It's not appropriate criticising Qazi on his success, however and whatever it may be.

I have watched the Fame Gurukul from the start to the end and I feel that this so-called reality TV show (whatever!!!) is not for the really talented singers. To find out the best talents in any field you use the experts of the corresponding field - not ask the common people to vote; also you do not tell the contestants to vote out other contestants in a talent finding competition.

This show, at its best, may be called a search for the new stage performers or public entertainers by playing a game. There is no doubt that Qazi is the best entertainer (not singer) among the 14 contestants of this game.

As for the public votes, the look matters for common public, specially for the younger generation, and it is simply too much to expect from the common public to evaluate various factors like versatility, modulation, depth, etc. while selecting the best singing talent to vote for. Recently I was in India and I came across quite a few people who voted for Ruprekha just because they were "fida" of her beauty. Similarly, most teenagers (for example, the friends of my nephews) were mad about Qazi because of his hairstyle and his jacket. When I asked them about Qazi's singing, they replied they did not care what he sang. And, guess what, each of these people voted for them at least 100 times and may be even more.

So, you can see that the figure of 87 lakh votes in final (and other xx lakhs of votes of previous votes) are not actual and are the results of much created hypes.

It is a known fact that Indian public get carried away pretty easily. It does not take long for them to die for somebody as well as throw the same person in dust. Look at the cricketers and other celebrities, for example.

Among the contestants, there were a few real singing talents like Arpita and Arijit who demonstrated their abilities by singing a varity of difficult songs. People who understand the art of singing will, any day, prefer to listen to them over the selected Fame Jodi. However, due to the stupid rules of this game, they were voted out.

At the end of the day, the real winners are Sony, its associates and the phone companies. Sony will make even more money by encashing the Fame Jodi's popularity. Regardless of the quality of the singing of the Fame Jodi's first few albums, those will sell like hot cakes.

So, the ultimate loosers in this game are the "janata" only. However, this is not something new in India. It is a legacy of the Indian public to find happiness in the scraps they select - like corrupt politicians, trash movies, item songs etc. to name a few.

well i saw few episodes fame gurukul recently and i was only dissapointed . i find this program standing nowhere as compared to saregama and indian idols. playback is only fitting for learned singers who are blessed by mother saraswati i suppose.though the final three did their best but the thing is r v selecting educated singers or just kamchalaoo entertainers....

I think finally jo jita wahi sikander,few weeks before i never think that qazi will win the show.As I have seen last few episodes and it was rex who always my choice as a fame jodi.
But if we see the last two episode qazi improved lot and sing a very good song with rooprekha,which really jolt me,and there it appear that qazi can also sing.But i never believe that qazi will steal the show.It happen only because of people who vote for him.
Any way many congratulation to qazi and rooprekha too.Rooprekha hindi and urdu is very poor but his voice is good.In future if she improve her urdu and hindi,then she will be very good.Sorry for rex.This is what call destiny.I would like to answer some our friend that SA RE GA MA programme is very good from day one.This not a new programme , but see what is going the set , jai ho , yalgar ho, and so many thing.we want to see a musical programme not the jai ho , yalgar ho or other thing.Don't make a stage music show to a ladai ka maidan. First of all, congrats to kazi n rooprekha, fame jodi- its not only singing talent all bout a personality of one person to put his all things together to make life lively all around him, entertain the people from bottom of his or her heart, to give some little smill to others. n much more, those ppl (javed akhtar, kk, shanker, ila arun) is not stupid, they are highly proffesionals.

Ruprekha deserved it...she's undoubtedly a good singer & she is very cute girl. but Qazi is a average singer. Qazi is not a singer. he should concentrate on his acting carreer. Rooprekha is good and she can be a singer.

Congrats to both of them. You can either love Qazi or hate him, but you cannot ignore him. It is true that he is not a polished singer but his albums will sell like hot cakes and that is all the sponsors want. He is a star in making. Qazi will be remembered by all, his fans and his critics. But i really doubt if the Sa Re Ga Ma singers will ever be remembered if their first performance is not a hit. And guys using abusive language only showed off the background they came from.

Fame Gurukul was nothing but a joke! It doesn't seem as if it was put together for recognizing and polishing talented singers. It was just a whole lot of drama which had nothing to do with singing.

I feel sorry for people who support the final result saying that the winners were good human beings or whatever. Qazi always knew that he could be a "good human being" because the stupid viewers were always going to vote for him. Anyone sensible would know what I'm talking about. Once a person knows how much he is loved by the people, he can really put himself in danger deliberately knowing that the people are ultimately going to save him.

Its interesting to see yet another stupidity. Both Qazi and Ruprekha wanted to be fame jodi with Rex... but the audience made two people who really didn't wanna be a fame jodi together, not to mention, that have no chemistry and don't gel well at all.

I also think that people need to understand that these competitions are not a popularity contest. One should purely be voted based on the singing talent. Its a shame that one of them has no singing talent and has always boasted of becoming an actor, and the other is extremely dumb and retarded who doesn't know how to even communicate in Hindi, but at least she sings well. Shame on the Fame Gurukul makers and shame on the idiots who voted in such a manner!

Before you write a novel here, remeber the western influence and the commercialization of India. Your comments are like mother goose -- crying about all that is going on in india.
Well, how many miss universe and miss world have we had in india in last 5 years? What is the purpose? Sell their products! India is a HUGE market and all the major companies are taking plenty advantage of it.

As far as singing is concerned, Qazi is very weak. Rooprekha too is no match to Arpita. If you carefully notice Rooprekha's singing, you will realize that she cannot sing at high pitch efficiently. When she has to do alaap or sing high notes, her voice cracks or becomes too shrill. Thus, whenever she is singing she seems to complete the song with a lot of effort. This is especially true when she sings difficult songs. Thus, she cannot dance or perform that much while she is concentrating on singing. At the same time, Arpita seems to carry off any kind of song with an ease. She seems so relaxed and effortless while singing. Even while performing with the song, she doesn't move from sur. In my opinion, Arpita was more deserving to be a part of jodi. The reason she didn't win because she was poorly and intentionally misrepresented by faculty, judges, and even hosts. If you notice, mandira and manav always tried to project a proudy and egoistic image of Arpita to the audience. They projected their negative opinions as Arpita's in front of the audience. Also, Javed akhtar was in awe of Ruprekha's beauty right from the beginning, thus he projected Ruprekha as imandar, khandani, even compared her to greats like Noorjahan. Initially, ruprekha was not at all audience favourite, but with all this propaganda and her so-called tyag when she voted for both Rex and Arpita, brainwashed audience. Whenever Ruprekha performed good, arpita was always seen enjoying and clapping, but when in last ranbhoomi when arpita performed brilliantly in Daiyaa yeh mein kaha aa fasi, ruprekha's facial expressions of jealousy and fear were easily noticable. However, Arpita also needs to learn a lesson from this that it doesn't help always to be outspoken and frank opinioned. You have to be a little cheesy and maskabaaz also sometimes. She needed to connect more with the audience like Qazi.

Coming back to Qazi, Qazi is not a singer, he is an actor and a performer. Even he has said that his first priority is not singing. Although Qazi is a good human being, a great dancer, performer, actor, and a mimicri artist, he is weakest in singing among all his talents. Audience could have saved him once or twice or may be even thrice, but repeatedly to save him even when his performance was weakest among all, shows how immature and stupid indian audience is. On the other hand, Rex eventhough untrained like Qazi was a brilliant singer and performer. Rex also like Arpita had a unique ease and effortlessness in his singing. Rex seemed to perform and sing in sur even while singing the most difficult songs like Aye ajnabi, dholi taro dhol, and chaiyaa chaiyaa. He hardly ever made any mistake in sur. He too is a great human being.

All in all, in singing three things matter the most, and they are versatality, consistency, and sur. Then comes the performance. Rex and Arpita had all these qualities. Qazi was lacking all three qualities: versatality(he only sang easy songs mostly from hrithik's films), consistency(out of all his performances, only two or three were commendable), and sur(95% of his performances were besuras). Ruprekha is two steps ahead of Qazi in this manner, but four steps behind Rex or Arpita. In my opinion, arpita, rex, and arijit/shamit deserved to be in top three.

Most of the people who vote for such events, are teenagers and early 20's ones with no music sense whatsoever. Indian audience voted solely on Qazi's looks and ruprekha's smile and beauty. Well if that's the case, Arpita and rex weren't ugly looking either!!! In my opinion, public shouldn't be given right to decide who is a better singer and who is not, because aam janta don't have any deep knowledge of sur and sangeet. Look at saregama on the other hand. Saregama never had public voting, still the show has given successful singers like Shreya goshal, kunal ganjawala, sanjeevani, bela shende, etc. Do you think music directors are stupid enough to make Qazi or ruprekha sing for them while leaving behind brilliant singers from saregama?

I went through all the msgs posted here and felt those who posted over and are comparing fame gurukul with sare gama etc r infact either jealous of qazi or this whole fame gurukul. Fame gurukul was a reality program to give as Jodi which we Indian people will like to listen and watch them perform on stage. Whereas saregama is for playback singers. All the pop stars and pop album as well so many others coming up every day are not so good or versatile singers if u go thru each and every songs and video. Atleast over here we have something of our selection. WE have our jodi which will perform in the way which we have seen and voted for( well i didnt vote any but more than 5 crores indian did in the last 15 weeks). As far as Indian idol is concerned well here in dubai no one hardly knows abt him. BUt fame jodi every other person speaks of. Hats off to all those people who voted and hats off to Qazi and Ruprekha for being selected and proving tat u both r the best presently in the world. and For all those who have negative thoughts and comparision shld first visit the site of famegurukul. and the they shld see all the way of 15 weeks progress and then they shld shut their mouth by saying "Jo Jeeta wahi sikander" and Jise indian ne chaha wahi waha aaya. My hearty congratulations to Qazi and Rups for becoming the first indian fame Jodi. This jodi will surely rock and prove all this people tat the selection by indian people was right.

Fame Gurukul is a v good platform for a new talent,anyway Arijit, Kirti, Rex, shamit & Arpita is also a good singer but not a perfect singer,The panel of judges included Javed Akhtar Shankar Mahadevan & K.K

I felt bad for Rex he is a better singer than Qazi but then Qazi has a way to carry himself, he was better overall performer..well done all of you who could not reach the top, but hey guys thats not the end.
