Change in Sonakshi!

Initially I thought there has been not much change in these past seven years in Sonakshi. She was always a practical and rationale girl and that's how she seems now too. All the change according to the Dixit clan specially Ishwari has come in her son post break up. Which we all see, because its quite evident and pronounced.
But then after watching the latest episode I realized that Sonakshi has changed too. The twinkle in her eyes is missing. Her want to please everyone is no longer there... she now only lives and breathes for her own family. Much like how Dev Dixit was before but in his living for his family he was rude and sometimes irrational. Sonakshi on the other hand is just calmer and level headed. Before the break up in her arguments with Dev she was shown to raise her voice and easily get stressed out but now I see a determined and calm person who doesn't loose her cool.
In other words she has matured, in seven years she has seen a lot and gone through a lot and she has aged. Age does make you wiser and calmer and so does experience in most cases.
But not in the case of Dev Dixit. Is it because he is living his life in the reverse order. He was burdened with responsibilities at a young age and so now he decides to lead a carefree life. Quite justifiable to himself, because he feels he was betrayed by all specially Ishwari and Sonakshi. Only time will tell and reveal that it was the other way round. Sonakshi in fact was betrayed by him.
Above all of Sonakshi's achievements her biggest achievement is of becoming a mother which was deemed impossible to achieve. In only her interactions with her daughter do we see the sparkle return in her eyes.
From the very beginning she has been shown as a strong character. She remained sane during her first break up with Dev unlike him. In fact Dev and Bijoy keep harping on the fact that she is very strong from the beginning. It's besides the point that Dev has replaced the strong word with "ego" now.
What I mean to say is that if the CV's plan on making more visible changes happen to Sonakshi character, then it can only happen due to Ms. Soha Bose. Only Soha Bose can turn Sonakshi's character vulnerable. They might try to show the difference in the insecurities of Ishwari as a mom as opposed to Sonakshi as a mom. But I feel her vulnerability as a mom will only showcase Erica's talent as an actor. Right now it's only Shaheer who is getting to experience the joys of acting due to the drastic change in his character.

Sorry guys I'm all over the place with my thoughts. I just wanted to pen down something but it's all scrambled now. Please bear with my ramblings.

Sonakshi's conversion is more subdued then Dev's in aspect that she no longer requires validation of others. She is focused and doesn't allow herself to be swayed. Also majority of her life decisions revolve around the last words Dev uttered to her so the bitterness of the man whom she loves so much till date lives in her.

I think we have seen Sonakshi being vulnerable twice so far. Once when Soha unintentionally copied her father's phrasing and her eyes went from blank to misty and another when she uttered a bengali phrase in exasperation at Dev and her own mind reeled her back to the moment where her speaking her own language with Dev had become an inside joke. She almost dropped her facade and grew cold but pulled it back up in time.

I think the custody battle would be interesting to see how Sonakshi reacts. Weather she chooses to be a scorn lover or a dutiful mother. That would put Sonakshi in a vulnerable spot constantly and her facade would knock itself off in front of Dev.
