Today all I want to do is write this poem 'Invictus' by William Ernest Henley

I came to know about this poem after watching The Movie Dead Poets Society

'Let us whether Man or Woman be Master of our Fate and Captains of our Soul.

Because we make our own Fate and our Soul is our very own..we dont need external validation from anybody even the ones we Love or Hate to realize this

Peace Out!

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll,

I am the master of my fate,

I am the captain of my soul.

All of us have to be the master of our own destiny or as you said the captain of our soul.

The only way to do that is to have a conscience to recognise our own faults.

Sonakshi acknowledged that marrying Dev was her biggest mistake. Today she acknowledged that unknowingly she put her employees through trouble.

Dev fired his employee for letting the other legal owner of the building in. And yet calling Sonakshi a lier and blaming her for all of his misery without once thinking how many times he lied and broke promises.

Guess who is racking in good will and loyalty and who is hated by the people around him.

Dev should really keep his idea of relationship advice to himself. He doesn't know how to keep a single worthwhile relationship in his life.

This reminded me of my ex. He wanted to advice me against my husband (just when I got engaged). I gave him a mouthful that time, so glad I did. Your lines in bold reminded me of that chapter of my life.

Dev n Sona ?
Their act is being misunderstood(forum mates too) by all except them...
Why hold anyone else responsible when u only waited for a bright day...to make things well without any effort.. kyun were they weather forecasters 😆

Bright day didn't come instead it was a rainy day...
And they both were unprepared n got drenched badly...
And now they blame each other why u spoilt my dress
Give me the same one back says dev.. kya ya 😆
I need a new one as punishment says sona..

Thank you Sia. You know, there are two ways to get a girl - once by threatening her and making her life hell and other by winning her. Guess which approach will keep her by your side fiercely loyal to you?

I am glad you got out of a relationship with someone who could have ruined your life and found a better person. Good for you. You did not let him make you a victim. 👏

Thanks all for responding. The point I was trying to make with this is post is not about Sona or Dev..just that each one of us have to stay true to ourselves when we do that things which need to fall in place will.

Even if two people are in a relationship or in any relationship for that matter if we constantly seek external validations we make ourselves unhappy. First we need to be happy in our own skin.

Sia way to go. Sajini hope you feel better, Tia enjoy your Bday
