Bigg Boss 19: Amaal Mallik calls dad Daboo Malik a failure on national TV; lashes out at makers' biasedness

Amaal Mallik discussed the issue of nepotism on Bigg Boss 19. He told Gaurav Khanna that his brother Armaan Mallik and he had to find their own feet. Amaal Mallik said their father Daboo Malik was a failure. While many people felt that he was being too arrogant and brash, others said that he is not incorrect per se. Amaal Mallik said he is a product of reverse nepotism. His fans have defended him saying that while his uncle Anu Malik was famous, no one knows the compositions or songs sung by Daboo Mallik. His father also confirmed that Amaal Mallik began to work quite early to support the family and his dreams.

Daboo Mallik had come on the show and told his son to play with dignity. He has said that if people are disliking his son, Amaal so much on Bigg Boss 19 then why is he being saved week after week on the show. He said they’re worried about his health and want him out of Bigg Boss 19 soon. Amaal Mallik has sleep apnea and has carried a CPAP machine inside the Bigg Boss 19 house, which he uses every night.

The audience knows that he came on Bigg Boss 19 after a rather public showdown with his family. Amaal Mallik wrote on social media that he is distancing himself from his parents. He blamed them for the rift between Armaan Mallik and him. Amaal said the comparisons had mentally worn him down, and he wanted time away from that kind of toxicity. Later, his father Daboo Malik admitted that maybe he made some mistakes as a parent. He said the public outburst helped them reflect on their errors as a family and work towards a more honest, thoughtful and understanding relationship. Amaal Mallik also called the makers as biased towards Gaurav Khanna.
