as preleap tanu always use to reject rishi's luv making him more determine & desperate for her, tanu's rejection to rishi was of a luver , thou they happiness short lived as tanu fulfilled d role of gud wife , sacrificed her life 4 her luv.
tanuja who is reincarnation of tanu , she hada strong attraction 4 rishi , could never say no to rishi, thou numberous time she got rudness from rishi(thou he luvs her) ,(my POV) till now rishi took tanuja 4 granted.
