Teenage romance or adult romance??

Okay everyone!! I have a question.Often we have noticed that in historical-periodic dramas, love story is shown in the childhood phase only. The lead characters meet, fall for each other, get separated and reunite as adults.I did enjoy the teenage romance in PRC and MP and to be honest more than their adult counterparts.

So is this more interesting to watch or would you prefer the romantic track to begin when Bajirao grows up.
Honestly I feel that showing romance in childhood simply takes away the essence of a proper love story between the adults. In Baji's case,I feel that it will be more fun to watch his love stories with Kashibai and Mastani after he grows up.The sweet, matured and yet intense romance of Baji-Kashi and after that his attraction and passionate love for Mastani. At the same time I don't want his love life to take the limelight and the political drama taking a backseat.I still believe that romance is an essential part of the story but the entire story cannot revolve around romance.

If a love track begins now then I feel that it would be given more importance than the political track.
Please your views.

TBH if romance starts I am out. I dont watch historicals for romance (child or adult). If that is what I wanted to see I would go watch a romantic show. Or watch fictional historical shows like GoT. I am not here for romance but I will tolerate it if the overall story is kept true to history. I am really fed up with them inserting this pyaar mohabbat nonsense in any & all genres đŸ„± As if there is nothing more to life than love & marriageđŸ„±

I agree.Romance is the ingredient which should not be added more than what's needed.Otherwise it can spoil a dish completely. Many a times this romantic angle becomes excessive and the historical factor lessens. What began as a historical becomes an eternal mohabbat ki daastanđŸ„±

if romance is only 5% and 95% is history of the show many will be happy. and if the makers/ph make it again another bakwaas show with bathroom bedroom and restroom romance at the cost of the great maratha warrior bajirao's biopic which we all r waiting eagerly the viewersip will be dropped and the show struggles for trp and one fine morning ends abruptly . ofcourse marathas r not fools to watch whatever is thrown on them making totally bakwas spoiling their great history and culture! Many r waiting with a hope that Atleast this show will present real history!!

I agree with all the posts above.
I absolutely do not want to watch love story, I will be out of here. Ashoka was going great with Ashoka Chanakya bonding but with entry of Kauravaki and love track it got totally side tracked.

Childhood love stories really creeps me out.

Mastani character has no business to be here now.

Kashi entry atleast can understand as marriage used to take place around 9-12 years for boys and 7-10 years for girls (especially for Bramhins) in those days.

I really really don't want to watch any love story.. they have promised us Peshwa Bajirao and it should be about him.

nice post...me too will stop watching the show, if they start any kind of stupid romance now...

abt Bajirao and Kashibai marriage, then he got married to Kashibai when he was 10 year old...and considering that era, the chance of childhood romance btw the two was nil...at the most the two can be childhood friends...

another thing, as much as I have read abt that era's brahmin culture, then the girl , though married at the age of 5/6, was not sent to her in law's house, till she steps in youth...that is around the age of 12/13...

so romance btw young Baji and Kashi is out of question...

and about Bajirao and Mastani, the he met Mastani first time when he was around 25... he was returning from some war...

so if they r showing Bajirao Mastani, meeting at this stage, then it will be a big blunder...btw, it reminds me of JA, where 6 months old Salim met 10 days old Anarkali in Mughal darbar and according to CVs their hearts become one that time only...😉😆

Hello Aishu diđŸ€—
I don't want unwanted romance and I agree with all the posts above
The story is amazing so far and a forced epic love saga(which many historicals are famous for) should not be thrown at us
Peshwa Bajirao did fall in love but the love falling was a tiny part of his huge life story
And I don't like child romance so no for it
Kashibai's entry somewhere around would be justified. But Mastani's entry now is a big no
Ps. Aur post banao aur activity badhao. I'll definitely comment😛

Agree with all the above posts. Don't want any romance unnecessarily. Will not comment on how Baji meets Kashibai or Mm astani since I have no knowledge about it. And, if the CVs still want to go on with the romance part then they will surely lose many viewers like me. I'm watching this show only to know about Bajirao Peshwa and not for romance.
