SRK on why Madhuri, Juhi and Kajol are not offered lead roles anymore!
Strangely or so, the actresses who ruled the roost in the 90's are no longer seen in lead roles in the commercial films.
Although actors like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan are still the main 'heroes' of a film, stars like Kajol, Karisma Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Sridevi and Juhi Chawla's story is stark different.
The Khans of Bollywood are all working with younger leading ladies too. SRK, in an interview to a women's magazine, addressed this matter, and said, "Madhuri, Juhi and Kajol are such beautiful women and wonderful actors. I'm a star because of them; they've taught me all that I know. Whenever I can, I try to get them to act in my movies. But we have to realise that this is a business at the end of the day, however much you may think it's a creative field. It pays the bills. It's a dichotomy in many ways."
He further added, "Films are an art; you can call it art that is tacky, fantastic, offbeat, edgy, superb, not-understandable - but it's art. Yet, this art is not based on how beautiful the outcome is like how a Monalisa is judged purely on her smile. Market forces define the art of cinema. A majority of the audience wants to see younger people. People define what they want to watch and the filmmakers follow suit."

"Whenever I can, I try to get them to act in my movies."
Awww...he is all heart. He is giving charity to people younger than him, he is all heart. 🥱 And when did he take Madhuri or Juhi in his movies?
Oh and i didn't understand half of the pseudo-intellectual crap he was spewing. Maybe i am not a genius and as intelligent as he is. Can anyone care to break it down for me what he was trying to say.
