BTW, ab jo latest video aaya hai usse to koi shaq hi nahin hai ki unki maut goli se hi huyi thi. Don't know why Pakistani Govt is trying to cover it..extremely foolish thing to do. And the shooter looks like a padha likha banda..unlike the Talibani or Jihadi..and extremely calm and composed too. Maybe the suicide bomber was there to make sure nothing is left there..and no-one is caught alive.
Did the 9/11 ers looked like Jihadis or Talibans?
One thing I have noticed that to everyone "how Benazir was killed" has become much more important than "who killed her"? Surprised at listening to the interview by Benazir's husband how he clearly denied any involvement of Al-Queda or any other Terrorist or old rivals of Benazir. Though he is not directly pointing at the Govt. but clearly hinting at. I am not saying that Govt. is not at fault or can't be accused. But just because Masud denied any involvement in her killing, how can he or his group be exonerated from the charge. There was a declarement from Al-Queda after her death "We killed the precious asset of America". What is the credibility of a terrorist? Just because he denied does it mean he is innocent. For sure, lot of politics being played with her assasination. One thing looks like people of Pakistan has some soft corner for Al Queda or other terrorist organization.

I think hearing the bombs explode and gun shots fired she possibly died of an heart attack....and the bullets hit her after she was dead.....
😆
the fallout that everyone is claiming that Pakistan lost a great leader is not true
First of all democracy has nothing to do with corrupt leadership... Clinton, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, narsinma rao, gowda...,... are all ambroiled in controversies of all kinds. We are surviving with some democracy even with all the corrupt individuals who have been leaders yet corrupt individuals in retrospect...
Benazir was a sure shot hope for Pakistan.. if she was in a way responsible for Talebanization then she could detalibanize the country with the help of US since things have changed post 9/11
As a woman, even with the corruption factored in she could have made a difference which sharif and mushy boy cant make...Pakistan has no choice they dont have leadreship just army generals.. and theocratic maniacs...
now they are back to square one... with bilawal... factored in - he is going to be the puppet..there is no hope of democracy for some more time...but for a nominal election... in near future....
She was killed with a reason... not just that a benevolent trying to cleanse pak of corrupt individuals...
she might have been bad for india but with US pressure and burden of democracy could have helped.. after all people make all the diffrernce...

interesting you name all those leaders, now Indira/Rajiv and Benazir are termed as the named as faces of democracies in their respective counties, what is common, they were all assainated and their assaination lead to another family member taking over the reins of the party, democracy=aristocracy in your defination, those three are symbols of aristocracy not democracy😉

sure shot hoe at what? she had no ideology of her own, whatever is the spice of the day she was up for that, her teaming up with the US is what lead to huge amount of problems worldwide not to mention in Pakistan. Pakistan where it stands on the Taliban support is what she and US thought about, it is not a 4 year old she is managing, you created the mess you clean it😉

she could have made changes😆, she had talked to Musharraf as a military advisor post already, twice she has become a PM and twice her bank account became richer and Pakistan poorer, you think third time would have been the charm😉

that for certain is true😉

thanks for accepting she was no great martyr, I agree she was killed with a motive, it could have been the terrorists, it could have been Nawaz Sharif or it could have been her family or it could have been Musharraf, anyone who benefits from her death could have planned it, but substraction of variables also sometimes leads to addition😉
she might have been bad for india but with US pressure and burden of democracy could have helped.. after all people make all the diffrernce...
what is needed here is a Person who thinks for the better of Pakistan, and thinks what is the best for the people of Pakistan not what is good for the US or India, for over 30-40 years Pakistan has rulers who have the acted under the pressure of US and democracy has been at the bottom of their wishlist
Agree with you Qwerts. you captured the big picture.
It is not about about how good or bad or corrupt she was, She offered a slim moment of democracy in Pakistan which is fraught with military domination and her participation was hoped to confer legitimacy to the upcoming elections. The U.S policy was to promote reconciliation between secular opposition leader who was allegedly corrupted nevertheless and unpopular sitting president. However corrupt Bhutto or her PPP might have been , at least they could have been booted out in another election.

it's a personal tragedy of course. but apart from that and the usual chain effect that everything in life has on everything else, i think the fall-out could possibly be the reverse of whatever folks are thinking. there could well be a back-lash, one that propels the common man towards a greater abhorrence of violence and the country towards democracy. also, there's usually a fall-out when some dictator gets shot or taken out. the leadership vacuum and the policy changes are huge then. but that's not the case here. behind the scenes, the military is still around as a pervasive institution all around and BB being around wouldn't have changed that. in fact, the back-lash from her going might change that and make the military leary of getting bogged down in new political adventures.
