Hello there!!!
Dropped in to comment after I saw the name Sydney Carton.😉 I have a thing for unrequited lovers you see.And Sydney Carton is on my list of favourite characters after Snape and Legolas from LOTR.To be honest I found Carton to be a rather interesting and complicated character. His character was beautifully written.Ravish's character on the other hand is pretty boring and unidimensional. There is nothing special about it.Yes,he is a good guy and stuff. But there is nothing more to the character.I found him to be rather two faced. If he respects Vividha's decision then he should let her go.His character needs proper writing and direction. Also his character is without a purpose at this point.I cannot compare him to Carton.Sorry for that.😆😆P.S.If anyone takes my post as a jibe towards any particular actor then they are mistaken.I have got nothing against any actor.I found Vikram to be okayish before this show. But he was excellent as Atharva. This show brought out his talent.I had seen bits of Shashank in BV and he was good over there. But here he is not upto the mark and rather bland. (Just my POV) Also I would like to state that just because one actor is an already established actor that doesn't mean someone else cannot be better than him or he is the best actor there is.Every actor has his/her high points and low points.
Oh!! Then in that case I do agree with you.We can call him a Carton Wannabe.Originally posted by: CaputDraconis
I love Carton too that's why I said Ravish is nowhere close to what Carton felt/did for Lucie. He's simply a dumbed down version of the iconic character. If you've read some of my replies in this thread you'd know I also didn't hold Vikram in high regard until I watched him as Atharv. Of course acting is subjective but certain things are glaringly obvious which can't be denied.
