Ive read lot of comments and some reviews making fun of Deepikas accent in xxx. Why? We are not native English speakers. Our English will always have an accent just like when a non Hindi speaking person speaks Hindi, their Hindi will always have an accent. Even famous stars like Sophia loren Salam Hayek spoke English with an accent but they never got the kind of derision in their native country that we exhibit.
I am proud of DP for not trying to be pretentious by faking an accent but standing tall and confidently mouthing dialogues with her natural accent. more respect to her. She is turning out to be a role model in many ways. More power to her and if more of us just dropped our fake accents it will be so much more better.
