It's not with 13th January. ..it's the combination of 13 and Friday. ..Friday the 13th is supposed to be unlucky. ..they say it's the day that Eve of Adam and Eve bit the forbidden fruit. ..there have been many unlucky occurrences on this combination. .

So Friday the 13th is considered to be unlucky.
