All I can say is, sometimes even the strongest people have their weakest moments. Yes she is proud of herself but you cannot say that she never wished that she wasn't alone in this world? Fighting the world is a tough job but fighting it alone is tougher.
Lanat means curse, and all she is saying that it's a curse to be all alone in the world, and see from her POV, is she wrong?
Lanat also means it's a shame, and it's a shame that she has no one to call her own.
The one line she said yesterday, "[If you are an orphan] Aapke hone ya naa hone se kisi ko koi fark nahi padta."
That shows how much she craved for a family, a family which was snatched from her, not once, but twice. If it wasn't for Sahil, I doubt she would have fought the world like she does because she did not have anyone to live for or encourage and support her. It is hard to be all alone in this huge world, it's scary. Just imagine, no one by your side. No family, no friends. All alone. Yes Sahil is there, but he is a kid after all, right?
Yes, she is a proud girl, she is proud of herself, that is why she can walk with her head high everywhere she goes, but that moment with Shivaay was her vulnerable moment. I doubt she even realized what she was saying to him.
