well she seemed to be a bit old(around 10yrs old) when she lost her sister at least, maybe she stayed in an orphanage for some time prior to being adopted by Sahil's parents.

truth be except Bua we havent even heard anything about Sahil's parents, that is still a black box for us😕. were they good? were they bad? nothing has ever been said about them yet.

and i interpreted it as a curse, because seriously leaving without parents, knowing your sister has been taken away from you, her perhaps not even remembering her surname is difficult for any person, no matter how strong😊

I know but I think they should have given her better dialogues instead of humesha akelapan dekha hai ki jagah bachpan me Kai saal tak akelapan dekha hai, I seriously doubt they will show Sahil's parents to be bad, more than it being wrong it would be unnecessary, maybe she was tortured in her orphanage

But yes there is much to be explored about her past, I hope CVs so that asap

The last time she dreamed about Chutki and Shivaay heard her, she not only talked about Chutki, she also kept pleading someone not to hit her' Which means she was probably suffered physical abuse as a child. Maybe the orphanage she grew up in, the matron were strict.

Life itself is so hard and difficult even with a supportive family these days, so I can't imagine what it would feel like to be all alone in the world and to battle life and its harsh realities all by yourself. Anika is a strong girl and rightfully she is proud of herself for surviving everything which comes her way, but we have also heard time and time again how she is always complaining about 'How God keeps spilling raita of her whole life' . That shows that even if she takes pride in taking care of herself and her brother, she craves to have a family who loves her and who cares if she lives or dies.

That scene was only thing I liked her vulnerability was shown beautifully.
Back then sso was hard on her so such words came from her but now sso changed a bit so she pored out that family is more important and being orphan is big vacuum in life

Have you ever had something bad happen to you and you came strong out of it. After coming strong out of it do you wish that same thing should happen to others just bcoz they will come strong when they fight back. No you won't. You would be proud of yourself but you would never wish that anything like that should happen to anyone.
Anika is an orphan. She lead a hard life. She is still leading one. She was strong & through the struggles she became stronger. Does that mean that being an Orphan is not a bad thing to happen to someone. Ofcourse it is. Because it is difficult to live without all the support we have. That's what she meant. She meant noone should lead the life she led. She can't change the way her life was but it's such a good thing that she has retained her goodness & feels that noone should go through what she went.
Loneliness is terrible. And the feeling that no body cares is something no one should go through. That's what she meant. I can understand that some of us are not happy with her decision of supporting Shivaay after what he did to her but that doesn't mean that we should stop seeing Anika through a neutral perspective.
And after having such a nice upbringing if we accept SSO's twisted ways as part of his being, why don't we cut Anika some slack & for once think that for someone who never had an anchor to hold on to she can just for once keep her principles away & act according to the way her heart wants? Does after going through so much is she not allowed to be a little bit damaged?

I do not know how Sahil's parents were with Annika but obviously they did not succeed in making this girl feel like family or she would have spoken of them tenderly and with warmth. She would not have grown up still feeling like an orphan had they made her feel like one of the family. She was 10 and would not have been that much trouble to take care of (as opposed to an infant I mean) and probably was made to work more as an unpaid maid than a daughter.
If you consider that she is around 23 right now - just a wild guess, Sahil was probably born when she was 15 -16. So this was a fairly young couple that had adopted her I feel. At 15 -16 she was probably given charge of this little bundle of joy who she of course got attached to and who got attached to her in return.
The rest of the story is a blank for all of us.

She does not seem like the kind of girl who would need a 'whole lot of love' to be won over and be made happy.
Her relationship to the Oberoi's proves that. So I wonder what kind of a relationship did she share with Sahil's parents?
So how much or how little love was given to her by Sahil's parents is debatable if you look at it from that logic (Rudy wala action here) ...lol 😆

As an orphan you are treated like a nobody and like you are invisible. Ask me - I have volunteered at 'Mother Theresa's' Mission Homes.
You grow up clinging to any love that is given to you, however little that might be or however false that love might be. It is heartbreaking to see those little ones who thirst for just a genuine cuddle or a hug. They cry at night if they suffer from nightmares but there is no one to sooth them away. They fall and hurt themselves but there is no one to fuss over them.
i can go on but I will stop becuz I get very emotional about this topic.

For an orphan being an orphan is a 'curse' that they feel they are born with. They are shunned, cursed, abused (mentally and physically), made to feel worthless and are even taken advantage of.
I know of many strong girls (orphans) like Annika who would go to any lengths to get someone in their life who really loves them and makes them feel special.
I hope I have not upset anyone with my viewpoints. They are just my experience from the real world.
