I liked Shaan's portion of that New Year promo, even if it was quite ambiguous! I really, really hope that we will get to see some actual development in the story. And yes, I'm still holding out hope to see Dev-Shogata and Shaan-Rajni's relationships move forward, with both of those pairs TOGETHER. They have to be endgame!
If Dev disappears and Shogata goes off on a completely different path and doesn't end up with him, if yet ANOTHER one of my OTPs has an incomplete romance, I will be forever bitter about it. Especially since the BHRK team had the skill to REALLY add depth to what initially appears to be a quintessential love-hate relationship but is actually far more complex than that...They showed that they were more than capable of developing and maintaining Dev-Shogata's bond in spite of all the changes around them...and they had a pair of actors who are absolutely BRILLIANT at conveying that.
The writers had a story, they had characterization, they had momentum - and if it all comes to a sudden stop now, it will hurt SO much. It's high time that Dev-Shogata's relationship is given the space to flourish and develop into a strong, shared love. We've been saying this for months. It needs to happen now.
Right now, since the holidays have put a speedbreaker on the storyline, the one thing that is keeping me going is social media. I will always, always be thankful that this show gave me two of the most enigmatic and endearing characters I have ever come across. I will ALWAYS be thankful that I found Neel and Neha through those two characters because they are immensely talented actors who also share a powerful and inimitable chemistry, but most importantly, they are both such kind and beautiful souls!
