Dangal become the third film to cross 100 crore nett in India in three days. This feat was first achieved by Bajrangi Bhaijan last year and then Sultan earlier this year. The top three were all Salman Khan starrers until Dangal and now Aamir Khan has split them and its three each for Aamir Khan and Salman Khan Khan among the top six. Dangal is the biggest opening weekend ever for an Aamir Khan starrer. If the dubbed versions are included then the weekend is the highest ever at around 106.75 crore nett. North India has seen records shattered for the weekend and Sunday was simply extraordinary especially East Punjab due to the Haryana setting of the film.
