^ I thought RK recommended her to Imitiaz for Highway. Have to say she fitted the role. Imitiaz said that she was hardworking and that he felt sympathy for her during the making of the movie.
When they shot some of the scenes in higher altitude, he said she did not even whimper. Even lived rough for some part of the shoot, thanks to restriction imposed by locales.

Even if we take Ali's talk with some grain of salt, it is still impressive. She was really very young during the shoot.

Sorry, but outsiders don't have this luxury. Stop making it sound as if you just had one chance, you've had way too much privilege. Such a brat.

Kjo also probably forces people to take Sid Malhotra. So Sid and Alia have same chances and ones and outsider 😃

You know, I wouldn't mind it if it was another insider saying this comment, but it's such bull coming from her considering who her mentor and all that her mentor does for her. Yes she has talent, yes she's a star kid, but really she has the most easiest time going through this industry, so when she she says comments like this, all I can do is roll my eyes

Then star kids get a couple dozen "first opportunities" to hone their craft and gain audience acceptance 😛

Yes, she is right...talent matters for a star kid to survive, but they do get more then one chances to prove themselves. Which is what outsiders get.
For any outsider, One flop and they are out. Yet, we have AB Jr, Uday Chopra, Tanisha, Esha deol, who kept getting roles despite having zero talent.
