Alia Bhatt, in an interview with a leading
daily touched upon the topic of star kids
and if it is indeed easier for them to survive
in Bollywood. Alia said, "No, the industry is
not all about star kids. I believe the industry
is all about talent. So if you have talent you
will be in actor or a director or a
choreographer. If you don't have talent, you
won't reach anywhere."
She added, "You will get the first
opportunity. Then what? But at the end of
the day the audience has to accept you and
want to watch your film. That will happen
only when you have talent."
Do you agree with the pretty actress? Alia,
who was last seen in Dear Zindagi will next
be seen in Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

wait for this forum to bash her once again
but she said the right thing

examples tell us everything..

esha tanisha uday fardeen

one golden opportunity after another handed to them on a platter..where are they

and look at the likes of alia, kareena, ranbir, hrithik

audience acceptance is the key like alia said

and audience don't accept you coz you are xyz's son or daughter but because of your appeal..talent and all

kjo is so calculative but alia has given 5 successes with him..with critical acclaim..he wouldn't have taken her again had she been of no use..he is a business man after all..look how he dumped kareena after she gave flops..so.yeah even if kjo is taking her it is coz alia has given successes and critically acclaimed performances in those movies..

nepotism ultimately find a death if you have 0 connect or talent..look where uday esha etc are today..but many people have found it an easy way to bash those they.dislike..

Cougar - I think people cry nepotism coz outsiders don't get their first movie easily and they don't get their second if the first flops.
But their flops are more noticed than non stars as well. So it kind of balances in the end.

This industry is about Starkids because they get fed by KJO, Sajid and other Filmmakers under their production company. Talent is there but people like Arjun Kapoor get shoved down audiences throat.

There's some outsiders like Priyanshu Chatterjee, Chandrachur Singh, Arshad Warsi, Nandita Das and ect who had talent. Yet, they struggled badly and were not given a chance.

Alia is nothing without KJO & Dharma Production. It's a well known fact she's been successful because of them with these Box Office Hits. KJO takes Alia under his wings by making her work with good directors + good roles. At the end of the day, she her relies on KJO & Dharma Production company. That's why she needs KJO more than he needs her.

OMG .. I am sooo tired of these so called outsiders crying of nepotism nepotism f**king all the time ..
Yes, nepotism exists .. and that's the bitter truth
But you know what .. nepotism exists in every sphere of human civillization .. it defines how healthy you are born (your parents' genes), how kindly you are raise (your parents' individual personality), how prosperous or happy or peaceful your childhood is (your parents' bank balance and sensitivity), if you get educated or not, if you are made to follow certain diktats or not ...
And I am pretty sure all these PYTs trying their hands in the film industry have had a life better than a lot of poor or mental or physically disabled people or the people who were born in bad circumstances ..
For God's sake, why didn't these PYTs cry nepotism then and went and helped those impoverished or unfortunate ones to rise upto their own levels? .. Well .. because the nepotism isn't a shit important when it impacts others but when you get impacted, then let's cry hoarse.
Everyone in this world is in better situation then someone else and the same person is in worse situation than someone else.
That is what human civilization is all about - Survival of the fittest!
You work harder or play smarter than others and win .. if you don't then fine, you lose.
Of course, it isn't fair .. it has never been fair
We do hope that someday there will be a society where everyone will have equal chance at everything -- from the time they are born to the time they grow old and die.
But until then, fight it out and stop whining.
We all have worked hard in our lives .. gotten some and lost some. It isn't always easy to move on but well you gotta do what you gotta do. Maybe we all should cry hoarse too that we don't get equal chances like Ambani's sons get. We work hard and study and then join corporates and work almost all our lifetime and hope that someday we will be content with what we achieved in life. Most of us wouldn't even get to be CEOs by the end of our career but Ambani's son might get it as a present on his 25th birthday. So, maybe we all should cry nepotism too. Because well it is the truth.
But we instead work hard knowing that we can do our best by being the best version of ourselves instead of whining about the Ambanis because we know that whatever his son is getting is also because of Ambani's and his father's own hardwork.
So, let's face it .. the star kids are favored because their parents sweat it out in their time. Similar to how we got educated and have these laptops in front of us and can type english because our parents worked hard to get us educated and if we were to try to pursue a career similar to our parent's, we will also have an edge over everyone else whose parents pursued a different work interest. But I am sure none of us cries nepotism when we are the one getting the edge.

She's right.Star kids do need talent to succeed but then they get numerous chances to improve their acting which outsiders don't get.
Secondly, outsiders don't get good movies to work. They only get B grade movies and then their career flops. They need to work more harder for getting work in good films whereas it's easy for star kids as big and good directors knock at their door and give them work only because they are talented insiders.People think twice before giving work to a talented outsider.

One more thing I wanna say.
If there are Tushars and Eshas and Fardeens in the end, there are also Kareenas and Hrithiks and Sonams who got numerous chances in spite of their movies getting flopped. Special mention to Abhishek who is not jobless in spite of having most of his films flop.

Nobody would have taken her in a movie after a disastrous debut like SOTY. But Karan forced Imtiaz to take her for Highway. He still recommends her or makes movies for her. Sorry, but outsiders don't have this luxury. Stop making it sound as if you just had one chance, you've had way too much privilege. Such a brat.
