Episode 144 Tuesday 25/12/07

Megs and thatha leave for the site. Kirtana and Sezhiyan leave as well. Geetha gives lover boy his mobile and wants him to eat and go. Sezhi leaves and athai asks for some hot water. Geetha replies that she will give soon and athai makes a dig at her - Geetha cries, Tilaga consoles. Angu and Amutha arrive. Tilaga welcomes, athai frowns. Tilaga says that she is happy to see them and Angu mennu muzugufies - " me not at home, only when I came back Amutha told me, bhootham hitting JSE is not right...." Tilaga blinks " mappillai adichaara? why?" This is news to Angu and she is happy that JSE did not spill the beans. Wants to take back JSE as they have the naming ceremony for Tams' baby. Tilaga is more shocked. "JSE here?? hello, whats up?" Now it is the turn of the A's to be shocked. Athai takes center stage and starts an oppari" kannumani ponnu mani, vaira mani thanga mani aachhh , nadu road le ponama kidakkiriya?" Amutha explains the hospital episode - "Nut flared, bhootham slapped JSE, wanted to drop JSE here, he came back home alone, we thought that JSE is here only...." Athai blames bhootham " naduvileye konnu yethanum kolathile veesiyiruppan, Tilaga, namba ponnu poittadiii..." Amutha defends Bhootham " avan apdi patta payyan illaimma" - The A's stage a cry show now - drama at its peak... Athai wants to go to Danda's house...

Danda's house - function preps are on - Tams tells dad that she wants her son to be a big financier and dad has to be his tutor. Tams orders every one around. "Saravana, Jamakkalam viri, bhootham milk vangittu vaa... amma enge? ellam naane seyyanum ..hmmm" The As - Amutha, Angu and Athai - enter. Athai holds Bhoo by the collar and beats. Shouts names at him. Danda tries to drive her away but athai is all set for a show down .... " intha kolai kara pavi enga ponnai konnuttan, unga veetle visheshamaa?" Tams shouts... athai shouts at Tilaga who tries to be civil... Danda screams... ( uh huh, terrible - fish market, kuzhai yadi sandai yai vida cheap language!!) Bhootham pushes out athai, Tams vows to behead athai and athai challenges
" ungalai ellam yenga vaikkarennu paarunga" Tilaga pleads ...... ( what a drama??? very cheap)

Tilaga comes back to see Megs and thatha waiting out side. Tilaga laments that athai has spoiled JSE's life totally ( gimme a break!! You and hubby forced her to marry that bhootham, borrowed money from Danda and did not pay back, JSE was a slave there and u did not lift a little finger to sort out things and now u blame athai??!!!) Megs demands an explanation and Tilaga narrates the story. Athai is not to be seen (wish she has lodged a police complaint - bhootham should be muttikki mutti thattufied!!) Megs and thatha shocked...

26/12/07 Wednesday Episode 145

Recap - Tilaga narrating. Megs shocked. ( Tilaga does
not tell Megs that bhootham slapped JSE!!) Tilaga
recalls the drama in Danda's house. Thatha curses
Vadivu and at lastt... all worry about the missing
JSE.. Tilaga now deems it fit to worry about daughter
after she is done cursing athai. Thatha feeds fuel to
the fire by scolding Vadivu ( yovv, athai unga ponnu
kkaga than sandai potta, sariyana mada sambiranis neenga)
Thatha wants to pacify sambhandhis before searching
for JSE - some priorities!!!

Danda's house - bhootham's bro scolding younger bro.
Danda supporting sonny boy (ada ada, enamma adichaan??
my son, the wife beater!!!) Clan proceeds with naming
ceremony and Danda wants the lunch preps to go well.
Megs and Thatha walk in and Megs as usual does not
believe in coming to the point straight - Danda uses the
gap and makes acid remarks. Megs finds a gap and asks
about JSE. Bhootham denies knowledge. Danda talks
about the "odi pora" trait of Kalai family - "Kalyanathu-
kku muthal naal your sister ran away, u ran away at a
very young age and now your father ran away - so this
runs in the family, your sis also must have run away, get
lost" Thahta leaves with Megs but makes sure to blame
athai for all the happenings. ( athu sari, for once she is
doing some thing right and u cant appreciate that??) As
they walk, they see athai in a police van. Megs and thatha
run behind.

Danda and clan trying to defend bhootham but athai is all set
to get him arrested. She also does an oppari on how they
pestered Kannu to bring in dowry -" dowry kidaikkalai nnu
yenga ponnai konnuttan, padu paavi, padu paavi" ( I liked
her acumen, she managed to drive the point home here
and the police had ample reasons!!) Bhootham taken in
the police van along with athai, rest of the family on the
road, Tams doling out curses left and right... bingo SSE
lands with thatha at the most opportune moment. Danda
does not want to listen to her castor oil coated banana
speech and vows that he will be the first enemy for Kalai's
family from now on.

Police station - athai directing the police "nalla saathunga,
yenga ponnai kolai pannittan ivan, pinni eduthu unmaiyai
kondu vaanga" - Thatha enters with SSE - SSE is busy
doing her usual saucer act and thatha scolds Vadivu. But
she is far beyond all those chiding, concentrates totally
on bhootham being beaten ( much as I hate to admit, even
I enjoyed that 😈 ) Athai is asked to leave after she
signs the complaint. Megs and thatha try to talk to
bhootham - he threatens from behind the bars to kill
them all - Police inspector calls Megs and thatha
cowards - " thappu nadantha thatti kekkanum, antha
amma vukku irukkira dil iungalukku illaiye?? pesame
ponga, we will do our duty" Megs does not forget to
stare at the camera - saucers are now side plates!!!!

27/12/06 Thursday Episode 146

Athai storms in to the house. Tilaga wants to know where
her daughter is. Vadivu confirms that JSE is dead. Megs
shouts at athai " how can Kannu go back and live in that
house again?" Athai is livid with anger " enna di pesare?
antha kolai kaara pavikku vakkalathu vangarey?" Thatha
shouts at vadivu for his part, Tilaga faints - cannot think of
any thing better!!

Police station - bhootham is being beaten black and blue.
Danda walks in with an advocate. Advocate says that Police
can not beat him up but the inspector is nonchalant -
" unmaiyai solra varai adippom, marriage aagi 6 months
aagalai, wife ai pottu adikkaraan, keeka aal illai, ippo rule
pesaringa?? poi courtle jamin vangittu vaanga, apram vidara
thu pathi yosikkaren". Danda and advocate leave. Danda
goes home and collects his clan to go to Tilaga's house
" undu illainnu aakiituu varalaam, vaanga " Kattumirandi
gumbals leaves.

Tilaga and clan - Tilaga crying, thatha consoling Megs feeding
milk. Danda, Angu and Tams arrive. Tilaga welcomes them in
but Danda is all set for a fight. Angu tries to reason out but
Tams opens her mouth " inime enga annan kooda unga ponnu
vazha maatta" Danda calls out for athai - Athai comes out and
blasts ( atta woman 👏 👏 👏 ) " enga ponnai kanum, police
complaint kuduthom, ava purushanai arrest panni
visarikkaranga, avvalavuthan. Thangam mathiri ponnu,
just because my thambi said one word she got married to
your rowdy son with out knowing any thing about him...
just one phone call, your whole kudumbam will be in..."
Sezhi and Kirtana take athai inside. Tilaga ' anne anne's
to Danda but he shouts and leaves. Tilaga laments
" ayyo en ponnu vazhkai nasama poche.."
( neeyellam oru amma va??? ponnu engeirukka, yuiroda
irukkalaa nnu onnum theriyalai, life illai nnu azhare???
moolai nnu onnu kidayave kidaiyatha?? uh huh)

Danda's house - Danda, Tams, Angu, Amutha and Sara -
Tams has a brain wave - " bhootham kku oru ponnu pathi
katti vainga appa, appa than antha kudumbathukku buthi
varum" Danda shoos her. Tams vows to get a baby girl and
get her married to Bhootham after 15 years - "sothukku
sothum veliye pogaathu, sontham koodayum save aagum"
(ayyo, amma enna moolai unakku???) Advocate arrives.
"Consulted my senior, he wants you to lodge a complaint
saying that your DIL ran away from the house, what say??"
Angu gasps and dissuades hubby. Sara chips in his 2 cents
" periappa, vendam, we need to have some mana satchi..."
But Danda has decided to go ahead with advocate's idea -
" now, I want my son out,period" - asks the advocate to draft
the complaint and he is ready to sign.

A big palatial house... a servant carries some thing in a tray...
camera goes up the stairs... JSE is lying unconscious on the
floor.....

28/12/07 Friday Episode 147

JSE wakes up - recalls the previous day's events - bhootham pushing her down from the car - she gets hurt - blood near her elbow - walks in the street - Thyagu sees her - his crony informing the details -
"Kalai's 3rd daughter, Megs' sister" - Thyagu orders her to be captured - locks her up....... does her asthma act.... hukkummm hmmm hukumm hmm -

Thyagu arrives and meets her. " Your sis needs to pay some money to my men. Will release u as soon as that is done, what say?" - JSE begs " ennai vittudunga, u do not know how much of a disgrace it is for a girl to stay away from home even for one night...." Thyagu consoles " no problems, as soon as we get the money from your sis, we will let u go. U must have been working over time in your inlaw's place and when u get back to your parental home , u might have to work there as well!! Relax , eat and rest, ok?" Leaves an asthmatic JSE to continue her hukummsss

Tilaga and clan - Tilaga keeps crying - thatha and Sezhi enter with "no news about JSE, amma" - Megs talks about 'sambhandhi veedu" and Kirtana flares - " think about Kannu now, what big sambhandhi?? In the name of wedding you folks killed all her happiness. She was all smiles until she was labeled as the bride vu vu vu" ( U said it
all, my dear, i am glad that at least u are concerned about your sis!!) Megs cries along and sends her to college. Calls mom to the police station - " let us withdraw the complaint and release bhootham. As JSE's mom, u can do it and when Kannu comes, she can live happily ever after with Bhootham" - Mom agrees, goes with SSE and Sezhi.

Police station - Danda comes with his advocate and releases sonny boy on bail. Also, gives his complaint saying that Kannu ran away with someone and Kalai's family has instigated Danda and Co, unnecessarily. Inspector releases bhootham and they leave. SSE arrives with mom and bro in tow. Sings "mappillai nna mappillai, enga veetu mappillai, thangamaana mappillai" - Sezhi and Tilaga play the jalra. Inspector is frustrated " u are praising your SIL to the skies but they have complained that your Kannu ran away with some one..." Tilaga, JSE and Sezhi do their family act - SSE has 2 side plates in the center. Sezhi and mom on either side provide a pair of saucers each...

Dec 31- 07 - Monday Episode 148

Recap - Police station - Megs , Tilaga and Sezhi wanting to
withdraw the complaint - Inspector refuses - "FIR filed,
nothing can be done. OK, Danda has complained that
Kannu ran away with someone, any love affair for her?"
Saucers are in full bloom and negate in unison. Tilaga
does one more oppari " avalai poyi... how can anyone
talk like this?" Megs consoles, Tilaga is still worried
about Kannu's future!!! ( this woman must be nuts, future??
what future?? at present the girl is missing!!)

Megs household -Nut arrives with hubby in tow -
enquires thatha about missing Kannu - thatha is all sad.
TTaaddaanngg Athai enters the arena. Confronts Nut
" why did u come here?? are you not ashamed??"
Nut deems it fit to tell her that she came to find out
about Kannu. Athai is all fire " U are the reason for
all her miseries. When u met Tams in the hospital u
could have just shut your mouth and gone!! You fought
like a fish market seller and look where it got Kannu"
Diwa tries to defend preggie wifey - " we wanted to leave
only but Tams did the spitting act and we had to retaliate."
Pat comes athai with her remark " of course, people will
spit on you for all that u have done. You have to bear with
every thing. unakku ethukku da rosham? get out of my
house." Diwa flares up "who are u to throw me out of
the house?" Athai looks at thatha for support but he
shouts back. But athai can handle 10 Diwas at one stroke -
pushes the couple out of the house - both in the street -
The docile Diwa is angry but Nut for once accepts -
" what she says is right. I am the reason for all the
problems in my house. The guilt is killing me" - cries.
(every word of athai was right. Nut is the sole reason
for all these. Athai scored today - one athai like this
in every household... no dowry deaths!!)

Kannu in captivity. A servant lady takes food for her.
Thyagu wants her to get as much info as possible. The
lady sweet talks and tells Kannu that Thyagu is a rowdy
element but treats women with respect. Once he gets
his mission completed, he will release her. Kannu laments
about how her life will go kaput - " my nathanaar Tams is
enough - she will tarnish my character and spoil my future.
Please get me out." The lady refuses to do that as she is
scared of Thyagu but promises to do some thing less risky.
Kannu gives Sezhi's mobile no - asks her to call him and
inform about Kannu. Lady agrees, forces Kannu to eat,
goes down and promptly gives the no to Thyagu. She also
narrates Kannu's predicament and Thyagu sympathizes
" antha ponnu kathai Thulabharam movie ai vida mosamaa
irukku, paavam" ( this guy is definitely better than bhootham,
the sadist!!)

Tilaga and Co arrive from the police station. Athai is
sitting on the sofa and Tilaga again confronts her about
spoiling Kannu's future. Athai throws her hands up in
the air in total frustration ( exactly my sentiments -
future future... WHERE is your daughter? don't you
want to do some thing about it???) and tries to drill in
to Tilaga the facts. Tilaga informs about Danda's
complaint - athai looks furious.. Sezhi's phone rings -
Thyagu wants to talk to Megs - informs that her
sister is with him... Megs consciously faces the
camera and gets her side plates filled with shock/fear...
