Yesterday someone asked me what do I want?

Since Christmas is on the way and Santa is preparing my Christmas list, I thought why not give CVs a chance to play Santa to us audiences who sat through illogical plots and character assassination?

A few of my friends here showed up with wish lists of their own as well. So feel free to add whatever wish you have for the show's UPCOMING TRACKS, write it below. We'd also be grateful if one of you people who are following CVs, can pass on our Christmas List to them and remind them that when Santa gives gifts, he gets cookies and milk. No gifts, no cookies... 😉

I can't change past episodes. But since a few major track is on the way, here's my wish list for them.

1. Let a woman be a human woman, not a super woman and for heaven's sake, don't try to do everything on her own. (As in hire a frigging detective. Two of them in fact so that Ayan can't buy off your own tool. Work efficiently, not stupidly.)

2. As per spoiler, Dev will ask for pregnancy test. If it comes back negative, let Dev wait for a while and tell his family and Sona that he can't be a father because he is infertile as Lavanya suggested in her post (and for God's sake, since their room is a Jogger's Park, freaking dispose of the previous report. If needed get the test done again). I swear if he does that, I will write an ODE to Dev Dixit and forget everything he did wrong before.

3. We should strive to learn good things from anyone. Let Ishwari learn from Radha how to treat a daughter-in-law. Whether Radha fears Elena or Vicky or both, the fact that she is at least not being insulting to her on her face is good enough. People even verbally abused Gandhiji and Mother Teresa, so honestly it doesn't matter what people say behind one's back as long as they don't insult one's dignity in public on a regular basis.

4. Elena is selfish and useless. But just because she got married, she didn't go through personality transplant. Stop making Sona the dootmat, and make her learn from Elena how to be unashamed, unapologetically their own self. I am not saying that Elena should not make an effort to learn anything. She definitely should learn everything she needs to be independent even though she doesn't know anything now. But she didn't behave like a beaten puppy and she is not pretending to be someone else she is not.

Yesterday when Nikki asked if she can cook, she said honestly that if she wants to ruin the taste of her mouth, then she can ask her to cook. I expected at that point Radha to blast her as she did with Sonakshi. But she didn't. Now while Elena should learn how to be independent, unlike Sonakshi, she didn't jump all over Kichu and Ishwari to achieve the best bahu status in one day.

She has many faults, but this I can't deny that she knows her own worth. So please remind Sonakshi who she is. She is more qualified, much nicer and more independent than Elena. Then why she has so little self-worth and low confidence in herself that she constantly needs to justify her worth to the Dixits?

Another scene that cemented my thoughts was when Asha was telling Elena about being a good daughter-in-law. Radha taunted why she didn't teach all that Sonakshi while Sonakshi stood silent as if she was the one who ran away to get married and forcefully entered Dixit house while Elena got married with everyone's blessings.

Bijoy was about to retort but Asha stopped him. What I expected someone, anyone to ask, which of their tradition Sona didn't fulfil? What did she didn't do for their family that she needs to be taught now?

Which brings me to my next wish.

5. I want Sonakshi to learn how to respect herself and stand up for her own dignity. It's not respect for elders when you stay silent as they humiliate you. Even a child doesn't deserve to be humiliated like that. If someone blasts the same way to Riya or Nikki, would Sona stay silent? No. Then if you can stand up against the same elders for someone else's dignity whom you love, why not learn to love your own self and stand up for your dignity? It's not a crime to love one's own self. Women need to learn that to realise their own worth.

6. I want Dev and Sona to live their own life. They are providing for their family, well and good. But beyond the extended family, there is their own life. They have to start living it first before they waste precious time fixing broken parts. If they are strong unit, only then they can face the issues.

7. Sonakshi needs to come clean about Saurabh's business. Since she doesn't need Dev's help in any form, she doesn't need his permission to use her skills. But even then, I don't like husband and wife hiding things from each other. It creates misunderstanding.

8. I want Ishwari's insecurity treated as disease. The last few episodes she had been good. But let's face it, when a mother deliberately gets sick to stop her son going to honeymoon, but sends the same son to drop off her relatives and actually hopes he stays away the night to keep him away from his wife is not normal. And on top of that, when she hopes for grandchildren, that is downright delusional since she has four kids so she should know the mechanics and biology of getting kids.

9. Dev has to behave like a business man and either ask Vicky to return the money asap or take away his access to company account or demote him. Otherwise, that sends a strong message of nepotism to other employees which impacts loyalty to the corporation and also creates a group of disloyal employees who might think that joining Vicky in fleecing the company is the quickest way to wealth. No company owner ever want that.

10. Dev and Sona needs to block their bedroom door and make a rule that when the door is closed, don't approach for non-urgent matter (like AC gone bad. I mean seriously? Call mechanic and go to guest room) and if it's urgent like the house is burning down, Ishwari had heart attack knock and only enter when the door is opened.

And for God's sake close the freaking door any time you are inside together. How long would you keep giving a peep show to your family?

So CVs, there is my wish list.

If you guys have anything to add, write below.

If any of you want to send this to CVs, feel free.

Those who wants us to quit the show unless we make identical posts to every one else, can continue to read my post. After all, this is democracy and I for one won't try to preach to you what you should or shouldn't read or what you should or shouldn't think. It's called respect for freedom of speech.

Those who enjoy a healthy discussion, thank you. Not all of us think identically all the time, but your thoughts are important. So keep sharing your thoughts. I am as interested to read them as well as those whose thoughts echo mine.

EDITED:

Riya and Nikki, the virgin unmarried duo are giggling on Dev's hickey.

Ishwari, the mother of four kids within extremely short time, asks what it is...

#FacePalm

Me thinks she had wham, bam, thank you ma'm experience. That's why she is so jealous of Sonakshi.

So far, Dev gets fever from ice cream, cough from water dropping on his head, cough from sauce... I am surprised he survived so long.

Jagga jassos is on her case but she used HER computer (IP address is traceable, you moron) to create a fake facebook profile to send friend request to a girl who not only accepts friend request from someone she doesn't know but also immediately shares the pain of her boyfriend getting married to someone else with a stranger over a text message.

Errr, are we still talking reality here?

Ishwari wants to organise engagement party to both bahus. Elena wants to party so Sona is the donkey. Radha wholeheartedly supports her bahu going to party instead of being utterly useless. Sona is married to a rich guy and Elena is behaving like a millionaire's bimbo wife. Ghor kalyug!!!

I was praising Vicky for standing up for his wife. So CVs took it one step farther. I actually felt bad for Radha today. You don't treat your wife like crap for your mother, nor you treat your mother like shit for your wife. None of them are acceptable behaviour. So Vicky is again an a$$ today along with Elena being selfish as efff. I no longer feel bad for her. They deserve each other.

Then comes the ticking bomb.

Sona feels dizzy and pukey. Ishwari is ecstatic.

Sona asks tests to be done. But as usual Ishwari's Mummy radar is better knowledgable than qualified doctor and chemists. So even though she doesn't know what love bite looks like, since she is mother of four kids, she is qualified to conclude Sonakshi is pregnant. The same way she knew that only Kadha could fix Dev's illness.

Party already started in Dixit mansion. Just the man whose life is going to be turned upside down is yet to show up.

They decide to surprise him. *snort* I think in some other language it might be called "Shock"...

Precap: Sona whispers to Dev because of her unlimited trust on mummy radar. Dev obviously didn't hear or he would have had heart attack in his office.

P.S. My team from work is out on Christmas lunch this afternoon from 1 p.m. Toronto time onwards. I will be unavailable until I go home from the party tonight. Happy Friday.

Pasting mine here and will add my comments to yours
1. Ishwari is insecure. But she isn't a sadist. Don't make her dark again
2. Neha holds a grudge. But she isn't evil. Don't make her against devakshi. No point messing up an excellent character
3. Dev is a very vulnerable emotional guy. If there is someone who can handle him, it's sonakshi. No Ishwari. Keep sonakshi and dev friends first and bahu-beta/beti-damad later. Please show us them having nice conversations like before. No secret. No byomkesh Bakshi business
4. Whether a bahu is like elena or like Sona. They should be loved and respected in their new homes
5. My wishlist for infertility track is in another long thread

I agree to all your points.I really think Ishwari needs counselling or therapy and want her to be treated properly I don't want CV's to sell it in the name of insecurity cause it has already surpassed that level.I really want her to bond with the girls for a change and become a mother to all her children and not Dev alone.

OmG ! Agree with you completely.
All I want to say is that both Dev and Sona are treating their relationship as if they commited a crime by marrying each other and should have been devoting that time to more important things. Sona has become a doormat in the process to overcome her guilt and Dev treats her like his guilty pleasure item that he sacrifices at the last minute for other people's priorities without even discussing with her. They are dialouges that he sacrificed his happiness for Ishwari/family. Sona is not just HIS happiness, she is a living human being with feelings and his legal SPOUSE for god sake not an escort that he hired for the night for pleasure and cancelled when Ma wanted his time 😡 ! Ishwari acts as if she did a favor and sacrifice to Dev and Sona by letting them marry each other and this marriage should produce grandkids for her. A marriage is just not to populate the earth even more !

Although I think Vicky should be in jail and Elena should be in college, I still liked the way Vicky talked with his mother in private and put his point across. Although, he threatened her but he knows how much drama she is capable of doing. Dev needs to learn to put his foot down as well once he makes a commitment rather than make a commitment and then run away from it as soon as the emotional drama starts. Don't make a commitment to another human being if you are not sure if your mother is going to approve it or not. Also, mental health is a big hidden pandemic and the society needs to accept it and move towards treatment options instead of fuelling it.

Thank you. Yes, I agree. It's about time CVs stop showing female leads to be treated like something the cat dragged in and actual dignify the characters. Not by showing them as saint, but showing them as humans who are loves with all their flaws.

Exactly. And I don't want any woman to think that this is how a in-law should behave. They should know the difference between acceptable and unacceptable behaviour. Glorifying unacceptable behaviour on screen is not the way to change the mentality of the society. They do more harm than any good.

Tia,
You know I like all your posts and, more so, now, your optimism that CVs will have an open ear to the wishes of the sensible viewers who interact regularly on your posts. So kudos to all of you and hugs for a warm holiday season. Without even a pinch of sarcasm, I do sincerely want to say AMEN to everyone's wishlist, ANYTHING, that will bring the story back on track 😛 How all of us wished that there is at least one TV series that has the guts to handle real problems with real solutions.

Had the CVs wanted to use their creativity and brains, they would have maintained the good story line that they started off with. Now it is just a below standard version of bhel / lollipops that they are throwing at the residual viewers. It's beyond everyone's common sense how nonsense tracks are just shoved down the viewer's throats 😡. I wish I could have drooled endlessly with the eye candy poses that Shaheer was made to do yesterday, I x-ed out of it. Romance 🤢 Dev honestly needs to take some classes from Vicky At least he will enjoy what he has reaped with his hard efforts.

If there is something called miracle, I'd want that miracle to hit the 7% probability and bless Devakshi with twins. Grrr...all problems solved 😳 😆 AMEN!!!

TGIF, pardon me for being realistic Have a great weekend all beautiful ladies 🤗

Precisely. Why do the tv serials show as if loving someone and then marrying them is such a crime that they have to treat each other with indifference for the rest of the life to make up for it?

What is wrong to wanting to spend time with the person you are legally married to? Why do have to sneak around to get a little time to themselves and even then think about other people. Why not concentrate on each other for a change?

How long have they been married anyway?

Oh I am so hoping for miracle as well and Sona to become mother and show how a mother should be to Ishwari so that she can't pull her standard, "Jab tum Maa banogi" dialogue. But if the miracle doesn't happen as some time it doesn't in real life, I still want Dev to stand like a rock beside Sonakshi regardless how much Ishwari blackmails her.

Also, I don't want Sonakshi to ever become Mahaan by giving up on her marriage. If Ishwari blackmails her, she needs to remind Ishwari that it was her son's choice to keep her infertility a secret so that he can marry her without anyone's opposition. Now that the truth has come out, the only person who can tell her to leave is Dev, no one else. Dev took the decision to hide the report on all their behalf, this decision should also be his. Let's see how much guts Ishwari has to ask Dev to give up his wife and how Dev reacts to it.
