"It's not like that" he began.
"Priyanka"A familiar voice cut through.
" Dev...What are you doing here" Priyanka questioned not intending to be rude.
"So you guys know each other" Ranveer gestured pointing at the two of them not wanting to feel left out.
"Yeah..we were almost engaged" Dev looked down sadly.
"What do you mean almost engaged" Ranveer arched his eyebrows pretending to feel sorry though a part of him was strangley happy.
"That's not important..." Priyanka answered taking back both Ranveer and Dev in shock.
Ranveer felt a bubble of pride rise within him seeing Priyanka grow back into a stronger person. He questioned his sudden thought trying his best to ignore it.
"Priyanka I want to talk to you in private" Dev requested stressing the last couplet.
"What does he even want to talk 'in private' "Ranveer murmered shocking himself for the third time this evening.
" Let's go sit there" Priyanka pointed at the bench under a huge banyan tree.
Ranveer cleared his throat strangely annoyed that Priyanka wasn't acknowledging his presence.
"I better be leaving now Miss. Obroi" he said completely ignoring Dev and walking away.
"Strange" Dev muttered confused at the ACP's actions.
*5 MINUTES LATER*
Ranveer watched Priyanka laugh for the 10th time in five minutes. He wondered what was so funny in him.
"He looks boring" Ranveer shrugged trying to act cool.
"Guess I should be leaving now" he finally forced himself to move away.
