CHAPTER 9
The news of the sudden attack stirred a ruckus among Black wolves... The camp had been a secluded abode for them till the date, none were harmed by outer force. The dense forest was camouflage for them.
Some of them darted towards the spring to bring the injured ones to safety. Others buzzed among themselves, soon Agni's chilling voice set them in silence...
" SON OF B*TCH!!! So they dared to place hands in the mouth of Black wolves ! They won't miss the bite, I PROMISE!!!" His sclera was red, knuckles turned white as he fisted." Dr Oberoi, you two had to do something with this, didn't you?" His stare was fixed on Sanskar.
Blood slipped away from Swara's face. Yudh had captured her, her hands were twisted behind her back, she hissed in sudden pain.
Sanskar instantly advaned towards her,when he felt cold touch of metal barrel of a .460 S&W Remington Magnum near his temple. Arjun, the ace assassin had blocked his way by placing the other hand before him.
"What had you done, Sanskar!"Swara's mind screamed in despair.

" Leave her! Leave us! Hum kuch nehi jante! Yudh stop! She's hurting!" Sanskar stirred fretfully. Arjun landed a punch in his abdomen
"Sanskar!"Swara shouted to see him purse his lips. Arjun had wrestler like features.Surely that punch hurtled like hell!
"Why should I believe you Dr Oberoi? Here's not a single person other than Black wolves.. except you two. And you're not very fond of us, I believe!" Agni grimaced.
"May be someone outside the camp..."Swara tried to suggest,but Hades barked in mid of her sentence,not letting her to finish.
"IMPOSSIBLE! Not a single human being had ever entered this jungle! Never had anyone discovered this camp! The prisoners we brought here were killed and buried here! Don't try to derail us. I tell you Agni, they're the culprits !"
Agni seemed to be convinced by Hades. He announced, "All right. Arjun! Yudh! Kill them, NOW!"
Swara was now struggling violently. Her heart had been filled with horror as she saw two more black wolves to forcefully grab Sanskar by his arms.
Arjun unlocked the safety catch, his index finger started to press on trigger . Swara closed her eyes as she didn't have courage to see Sanskar die in front of her eyes. On the other hand Sanskar could see a knife on Swara's throat, placed by Yudh.
"YUDH! DON'T!"
Arjun had a sardonic smile, " So ?Dr Romeo Oberoi! Had been over smart? Now get ready to die with your Juliet! 10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2..."
"STOP!!!" It was Laksh.

Raglak were shocked to see the sight before them. Knife on Swara's throat, Sanskar on gun point! What had just happened here?
" Arjun, Yudh what's this? What's this? You heard three were injured, didn't you ? Then why are you at such a hurry to kill the docs now?"Laksh charged them, looking genuinely irked.
"Laksh , don't you get it? Our folks were attacked by someone, after these two came here. Only they can be responsible for this. We can't keep our enemy alive!" Agni answered behalf of them." And it's my decision, Laksh!" He stated with a undertone of reprimand.
"But Agni!" Ragini now opened her mouth, "Ariel and the others were not attacked by any person! Some wild animals had jumped on them!"
"And trust me, their wounds are grievous!"Laksh let the last installment of information out.

Yudh and Arjun had released the prisoners from their clutch. Black wolves moved to the infirmary carrying their wounded companions. As soon as they left, Swasan rushed to each other. Swara's feet stumbled on a stone as her eyes were on Sanskar only. She toppled over, with her arms spread open. But instead of ground,she fell on Sanskar.
Sanskar steadied themselves by wrapping both of his arms around her. Her fingers tightly clutched his shoulders. Then he released her to check whether she was okay. And she was not.. She looked shaken beyond limits! A faint incised wound was on her neck... And she recalled Arjun punching him in gut... about to pull triggers near his head...
Only one moment late and they could die!
They fiercely hugged each other as the realisation dawned upon them... Nothing mattered more at that moment... Swara placed her hands on the back of his nape, Sanskar gripped her waist by his palms... Her face buried deep in his broad muscular chest... Streams of tears stained his shirt... His chin rested on the top of her head...
"I'm sorry Swara! I'm sorry!"Saying this he lightly kissed her forehead... Their scorched souls were soothed by that ethereal embrace... embrace like gentle breeze in a hot, humid day... Together they were the Zephyr ... vowed to stop the Tempest.
