In every sports, there is a winner and loser.

The one who got the trophy is a winner and the one who didn't are the losers.

But as Shahrukh Khan famously quoted, "Haar ke jeetne wale ko Baazigar kehte hain.", in the game of life, there is no true clear winners or losers.

Today's episode was the proof.

Dev wanted to eat the ice cream on his birthday.

Ishwari wanted to stop him but Sona wanted him to make his own choice.

Winner: Dev. He got to have his ice cream on his birthday just the way he wanted.

He got sick as Ishwari predicted.

Winner: Ishwari, she was right.

But is Sonakshi a loser for letting her husband make his own decision? She didn't force the ice cream on him. No. She is also a winner.

Ishwari went frantic when Dev was sick and Sonakshi kept calm.

Winner: Dev. Two women are fretting over him. How much he is loved.

Ishwari tried to force wrong treatment which Sonakshi prevented and going against her wishes, cured him.

Winner: Dev. He got well because he has a doctor who is in love with him and willing to fight for him.

Sonakshi: She cured her husband which was caused by the ice cream she made. Hisaab barabar.

Ishwari: Her son got well. Who cares how and by whom? It was not a competition of competency.

Next morning, Dev wanted Kachori.

Ishwari agreed to make it. Sona was concerned for her so she took care of her mother-in-law, let her rest and made the Kachori herself.

Winner: Dev. He got to have delicious Kachori with different tadka.

Sonakshi: She couldn't cook when she arrived. But she not only learned how to knead dough (I still can't do it) and also she learned how to make Kachori. Hence proved, it's not necessary for anyone to get training on household chores before marriage, although having life skills are necessary. If one is determined and is willing to learn, can learn anything.

But after marriage, everyone should make effort to learn important life skills because getting married means that you are old enough to have children one day and your parents are also older hence they may not be with you much longer.

Ishwari: She has a daughter-in-law who is willing to let go all the insults she inflicted on her and willing to take care of her health.

But as I mentioned, in life whether you are winner or a loser depends on how you see yourself.

If you count your losses and ignore your blessings, you are a loser and nothing can make you into a winner and if you count your blessings and ignore minor losses, you are a winner and nothing can make you into a loser...

That's why Sonakshi comes out smelling like roses every single time and Ishwari comes out stinking with jealousy...

Precap: Ishwari claims that Sonakshi wants to snatch everything from her.

She doesn't have to Ishwari, you are already losing everything because of your behaviour. Even the Goddess image and mask you have been wearing for so long is slipping faster than you can grab hold of them.

Had Sonakshi made crappy Kachori, you won't have cared. Because then you would have been able to prove what a great cook and shitty mother you are who gloats when her son's wife (as you referred her when you had to blast Bijoy) fails.

But since she is better than you in every sense, you are scared of a new Goddess in Dixit mansion. Now may be Mamaji will better understand you when you say that Sonakshi is too good for your family.

Awesome post.. The way her insecurities are rising.. I guess one day even if Sonakshi saves Dev's life from some accident or attack, Ishwari will thank her and love her...and from the next day she will be back with her insecurities .
PS- It was absolutely annoying and illogical for Ishwari to say to Sonakshi tum mujhse cheen na chaahti hoon and all that in precap.

Agreed, Tia. I don't there'll ever be a post from you which I won't like or agree with. For a minute, I thought after Doctor confirming that what Sona did was right, Ishwari might regret lashing out on Sona. BUT NO. She was upset over how it wasn't because of her Dev got better but he did because of Sona's timely action and use of brains. It was appalling to watch that...how she was bothered about that bit instead of be thankful to Sona or just be thankful to God that Dev's condition got better overnight. 😳 So terribly disappointed in Ishwari whom I genuinely tried to understand at one point, she's just beyond my understand and reasoning now. The less said about the rest of the Dixit (except Mamaji, Ria and Nikki), the better.

I don't know what to say if Ishu had wished Sona to be a bad woman.. Doesn't she feel bad for her son then, if he had found a woman fit for nothing?! So much for her love for the son for whom she wishes all the happiness in the world.. When she sees him in real happiness she feels bad that her blessings are coming true.. 😆
If the intention is not right no matter what, all justification fails... 😃

great analysis..

There are no winners or losers in Dixit mansion.. all are losers in the true sense of losing.. not the ""loser-winner" types..

i am reminded of a saying .. some of the worst decisions were made with the best intent in mind.. I will limit this only to Ishwari and Dev for now..

She had the best intent for Dev in mind.. but her decisions are the wors due to this... . and the way she wanted to go about it. She has to change her approach with her son.. Saw a little bit of change in her this episode... some kind of realisation inside.. it is the best if she gets to introspect and be aware herself... rather than someone telling her..

Dev has the best intent for his mother... but the way he is going about things is absolutely wrong.. he is still behaving as a little boy and sees his mother as the same lady of yesteryear. He needs to change his approach with his mom... Not seen him change one bit.. and it is 200 episodes.. and counting...

I am not surprised at Ishwari's dialogue. If Dev had a life beyond Ishwari, she won't be as insecured as she is now because she would be used to sharing Dev with his friends/travel/hobbies etc. Their fixation should have been reduced long ago. No wonder they can't adjust now.

That's why in Ishwari's mind Sonakshi is the enemy no. 1 even if she cures cancer and finds solution for world peace. As long as Dev loves her, she will never be Ishwari's favourite.

Precisely. A mother is happy when the son is happy. This is the first mother I know (I haven't met any Ishwari types to be honest. But people tell me they exist) who would be happy if his son's wife is a witch and her son has miserable married life. How can she be so selfish and even have claim as a mother, let alone a good one?
