Ha ha thank you. As I mentioned many times, I find Ishwari incredibly selfish woman. And a selfish woman can be a mother after all it is a matter of biology. But they can't be a good mother because that is a matter of heart.

She is in a competition that she created, she is the one passing judgement, she is the only participant (since Sonakshi is not playing "Dev kiska jyada hain") and yet she is losing. That is the definition of a loser.

And she will always be a loser because she has created that fate for herself. No one else can be blamed for her condition.

Agreed, Tia. I don't there'll ever be a post from you which I won't like or agree with. For a minute, I thought after Doctor confirming that what Sona did was right, Ishwari might regret lashing out on Sona. BUT NO. She was upset over how it wasn't because of her Dev got better but he did because of Sona's timely action and use of brains. It was appalling to watch that...how she was bothered about that bit instead of be thankful to Sona or just be thankful to God that Dev's condition got better overnight. 😳 So terribly disappointed in Ishwari whom I genuinely tried to understand at one point, she's just beyond my understand and reasoning now. The less said about the rest of the Dixit (except Mamaji, Ria and Nikki), the better.

Ishwari: She has a daughter-in-law who is willing to let go all the insults she inflicted on her and willing to take care of her health.

you made an extremely important and interesting point here 👏

How I wish Sona's kindness( in general) and keenness to learn household chores should be perceived by Ishwari from this angle as well.

For once , I might relate to Ishwari insecurities as Sona is slowly learning and doing all household stuffs that Ishwari used to do once.

But Ishwari should be happy with the fact that Sona is grooming herself to apparently become Ishwari's support in her old age.
At an age where Ishwari will not be able to handle things on her own as she can now.

She will then need Someeone's help to handle kitchen and to handle Dev as well.
Sona is ensuring that she will be there to be that 'someone' to Ishwari and to Dev.

why to see her as competition not as a support for old-age then?

Ishwari is in a competition where she is the only one competing and even then only one losing. Now this must be the biggest loser of all who competes alone and still comes second. On top of it, the competition was made by her, the judge is herself and the prize is still going to someone else. What a tragedy... 😆

HI
Nice Post. I just want to put One point which is I fell very Strongly. That Some where Dev is subconsciously know that his mom ones again started the old game Dev sabse jada kisaka he
and he don't what this should lead to his and sona's separation that's why he is making sure she should not get filling being neglected that's why when sons tells that what happend last night he knows what isu must be filling so he comes to give her assurance. He is trying to manage this issue by his own way but soon he is going to fail. because this is not the correct way. This way is a temp. solution because the way isu's insecurities are comming out it will be difficulte to manage.
This is completely my take on dev's behavoiur

So true. I felt awful for Sona as she showed so much sensibility and grace dealing with the entire situation. Can you imagine, she just flinched for a second when Ishwari passed that accusation of Sona trying to kill Dev? Another woman in her place with a lesser tolerance for bullshit would have lost her cool but no she maintained dignity because she understood the matter of importance at that moment was only Dev's health. She didn't even complain when Neha and GKB with a clueless Nikki and Ria came barging in, she said every argument else can be dealt with later. Then, she's the one who tends to Ishwari's wound in the morning when she could quite easily have spent the morning being pissed at her.

It troubles Ishwari so bad that a person can be genuinely so good, warm, caring and understanding despite the kind of shitty treatment meted out to her. It makes her feel threatened, bothered and guilty that she can never be a person like Sona is, a gem. Which is why she kept asking her to rush through the procedure because she couldn't handle Sona's allure. I had the urges to tape Neha's mouth, the moment she opens her mouth, all she spills is her own insecurities and short-comings. She too like Ishwari get's bothered by Sona because she too deep down knows but doesn't want to face it that she has royally failed at being a wife and a daughter-in-law where as Sona gracefully and tactfully continues to juggle all her roles.

Not that the episodes from the past couple of months aren't show casing elements/incidents that are down right distasteful to watch but today's just got me annoyed so badly. So much and so that, I ended up making a post. I'd like if you can give it a read. 😳

Tia great post and even better title.👏 Since we are talking about winners and losers I want to use a game analogy here in my post today..bear with me as it is long and I am in a philosophical mood today😉
There are two ways a game can be played in life

The zero-sum Game like Chess or Tennis (if one gains, another loses) means that any result of a zero-sum situation there is no equilibrium
Or
A Non -Zero Game where participants can all gain together so in essence a win win situation where both parties benefit due to the transaction

I am going to use the game of chess to elaborate on this point:
This show has 3 main players
Easwari the mother/MIL
Sona the Daughter in Law/wife
Dev the Son/Husband

In this game of Life Easwari wants to checkmate the opponents King by placing it under an inescapable threat of capture. The king in this case Dev like in chess he moves one square in any direction so when he lost Sona he moved her direction and when Easwari is mad he moves towards hers.

The queen in chess combines the power of the rook and bishop and can move any number of squares along rank, file, or diagonal, but it may not leap over other pieces. Here both the queens ( Easwari and Sona) are trying to leap over each other to not let the other person get to the king. Even though one of the queen in my opinion Sona is not doing it deliberately but her moves seem that way to the opponents Queen

In essence they are playing a Zero Sum Game where each one is trying to be a winner one consciously AND DELIBERATELY and other unconsciously.

Easwari, the queen took care of all the needs of the King (prince) cooked for him, cleaned after him and in essence her role was unparalleled in his life. Her identity as a Queen Mother ( Pun Intended) was with the Halwa or the Kachori she made, the clothes she folded because that is all she knew how . Enter another Queen who wants the King to be independent which means asking him to do folding of his own clothes so taking away one of the identies of the queen MAA and now the Kachori Saga taking away another identity

Both Sona and Easwari needs to realize that in order to win in life they have to play the Non Zero Game which will bring equilibrium back to their lives for that Sona needs to give a little if Easwari wants to cook let her and Easwari needs to give a little if Sona wants to take care of her son let her

A rambling post it became but since it is your post I am taking the liberty😉

Isn't that the biggest irony? The two people who should be each other's best ally joined by one man they both love, turn that love into poison by using that love against each other...

Sonakshi wasn't playing games here. But if she was, Ishwari would have felt less guilty. She could have blamed her. But because of her kindness and patience, she is lowering her own dignity in her eyes and in everyone else's eyes.

She could still turn around. But she is not willing to. Hence, she is destined to fall lower and lower while Sonakshi is moving higher.

Oh didn't you know? Dev now has another taunting member in his family, Neha. When he keeps silent when Mami and Ishwari taunt Sona, he is respectful to elders. I wonder if he will shut Neha up with the same statement he gave Ranveer, "I won't tolerate disrespect for my wife under my roof" or his volume, intensity and dialogues will turn into Minnie mouse squeak... Well, we will see soon enough.
