Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi is an Indian fiction romance television series, which premiered on 29 February 2016 on Sony TV, Sony TV Asia and ARY Zindagi.
Shaheer Sheikh, Erica Fernandes and Supriya Pilgaonkar plays the lead roles. The series is about a realistic take on love relationship between Dev and Sonakshi. Their love story and how it will impact the unique, close-knit relationship between Dev and his mother is the main theme of the show.
Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi has been dubbed in Tamil as Ini Ellam Vasanthame and broadcast on Polimer TV. Due to Shaheer Sheikh's popularity in Indonesia, the show has also been dubbed in Bahasa as Cinta Perlahan Tumbuh and airs on ANTV.
~Story So Far ~
The show explores the relationship of Dev Dixit and Sonakshi Bose. Dev is a successful business tycoon who lives with his mother Ishwari and three sisters, Neha, Nikki and Riya. Dev was only eight years old when he lost his father. His mother Ishwari made a lot of sacrifices for the upbringing of her children. Dev owes everything to his mother and has a feeling of indebtedness and complete devotion for her.
Sonakshi Bose (aka Sona) is from a middle-class Bengali family of five. A nutritionist, she earns all the income for her family, since her brother Saurabh lost his job and her father spends his pension money on his medicines. Her mother, Asha, wants her to be well-settled and get married soon. But Sona and her father think that Sona should have a successful career and then get married.
When Dev's mother Ishwari becomes ill, Dev appoints Sona as his mother's personal nutritionist. At the beginning Ishwari doesn't like Sonakshi. But with the passage of time, Sonakshi grows on Ishwari. During the beginning, Dev and Sona almost always tend to start arguing with each other on small issues; but it's with their daily fights that they start to understand each other more.
Soon, Sonakshi meets with a near-fatal accident, where Dev accompanies her till and during her stay at the hospital. It is during this period of time that Sonakshi realises she loves Dev. When she gets discharged she takes her cousin, Elena's advice to try to propose her love to Dev but fails repeatedly. Elena and Saurabh then plan a dinner for Sonakshi and Dev where Sonakshi again fails to profess her love. Suddenly, Mr. Gujral joins the dinner with his daughter Natasha. Dev starts conversing with Natasha which makes Sonakshi uncomfortable and she leaves. The next day, he introduces Natasha to his family.
Sonakshi then comes to know that Dev is taking sleeping pills and advises him not to. Mr. Gujral and Natasha come to Dev's home for dinner to finalize the deal. Sonakshi feels uncomfortable and leaves early stating that she is unwell. Dev comes over to check on her and when he is about to leave they get stuck inside her house. That night, after having dinner and while conversing with Ishwari, Mr. Gujral puts forward a proposal for her daughter to marry Dev in front of Ishwari. Later, when Sonakshi learns about this proposal, she is crestfallen. Sonakshi decides to let go of her feelings for Dev, but she is unable to do so, so she begins avoiding him. However, Dev notices this and starts asking her about it, when he too begins to realise that he loves her. Dev calls off his engagement to Natasha. When he proposes to Sonakshi and she accepts. Neha gets married to Ranveer, her English tutor.
Dev and Sonakshi are now inseparable. They are trying to spend as much time as they can together. Dev's mom, who thinks Dev will never hide anything form her has started feeling insecure about the growing closeness of Dev-Sona. She thinks that Sonakshi is coming between her and Dev's bond and Dev is distancing himself from her now.
Later, Ishwari finds out about Dev and Sonakshi's relationship and reluctantly agrees to their alliance but soon succumbs to depression and overdoses on sleeping pills. Sensing his mother's disapproval, Dev breaks up with Sona, while both of them suffer privately and try to move on. Sonakshi leaves her current job and finds a new job as a consulting nutritionist.Then Dr. Rithik enters, as Sonakshi's would-be fiance. Dev and Sona fail to move on in their relationship which leads to breaking the alliance between Rithik and Sonakshi. Ishwari fails to break Dev and Sona's alliance. Ishwari realise her mistake by seeing Dev's painful condition, for which she finally agrees to their alliance and all sort of conditions. Mamaji tries his best to bond these three relationships, also disrupted by Sonakshi's bold payback to Dev and to Ishwari through Dev. After a lot of persuasion, Dev finally gets married to Sona. In the middle of it all, Dev's grand aunt arrives with her over the top customs and traditions but leaves after Dev and Sona's wedding.Right after Dev and Sonakshi's Wedding, Neha returns home because she can't adjust living in Ranveer's house. Vicky, spoilt cousin of Dev, joins his company as the project head after Ishwari manipulates Dev to do so after Dev and mainly Sona's denial. The Bose family goes through a financial crisis as Sona left. Vicky traps Elena to fall in love with him. Sona tries to help her elder brother, Saurabh to overcome the financial crisis. Ranveer files harassment case against Neha, leading to divorce.Right now, Ishwari is planning Riya's wedding and Dev and Sona are trying to fix everything.
