Solace ... barbs.. interesting imaginative piece. The bit I warmed to the most was his bottle bonding. Seeing that, I could never really pinpoint as to why Dutta drank? Was it part of a male bonding session with Baji ?was it nothing more then a daily past time activity many rich folk indulge in to unwind after a busy day? Or was It an antidote to deal with being rejected by a pretty woman? Whatever the reason was? Dutta somehow never intended to take his own life , despite the all self harm he inflicted upon himself. However he had some underlying issues.. The causes behind dutta's drinking habit was a combination of all your mentioned points I guess... Dutta was not the only billionaire of the gangster world.. there were many other like nana saheb who hold posts superior to him in the Dons' gang.. Now those rich folks used to drink as a past time activity.. and being their partner in crime Dutta had to join them and this could be the reason why he actually got addicted to drinking.. then later discovered than a drunk man could derive temporary peace from the red liquor.. Dutta really never tried to break his bonding with alcohols because he believed that would help him forget the worries of his complex life and sleep peacefully.. I remember during that "baji ji ki vahini ji session", dutta had thrown some taunts at naku saying that It was becoz of the wound inflicted on his heart by her that he had to drink this bitter liquor daily.. Then in another episode he had asked a servant to get him wine "aisa kuch laa jisse peeke mein khud ko bhool jayu" .. So Dutta might had considered his drinking habits to be an antidote to deal with the betrayals and so called betrayals of his life.. just making some guesses you know.. 😛 only thing unfortunate for him he looked for peace from a medium that failed him.. thanks for a very well written One Shot barbs. Yea and finally he discovered the right medium from which he could actually derive the peace and satisfaction that he was in search for since a long time.. remember his proposal? "Saalon se bhaaga arahu.. par aj jake mujhe apni manzil dikhayi de rahi hai"..❤️ Naku had changed that man.. She had really brought out that wonderful human being from behind the terrific mask of the Don and healed his wonded soul with utmost care and immeasurable love..

Barb, what a beautifully written piece! 👏 I understand how difficult it must've been to write this piece. Dutta is a very complex and layered character. You did an impressive job in keeping up with his character. The remorse he felt in his drunken state was necessary in their love story. Seeing him treat Nakku so callously on the show was difficult watch. I loved the last paragraph, Barb! ❤️ You couldn't have brought a better interpretation of Dutta's addiction to alcohol. 🤗 Please do continue your story on ViDha. I'm excited to see you bring momentum and passion to their story. 😉

BB...very beautifully written DEAR...yes it's difficult to write about the actions with less dialogues...but u have managed to portray the state of dutta very nicely...liked it...I think nakku never doubted him or can never do it...she would have turned away and went with baji...just because she would have felt bad that dutta misunderstood her and gave her explanation to eradicate her doubts...nakku was a strong character with an unconditional love for dutta...he was also an unconditional lover but most of the time he was ignorant of it...write more whenever u r free and feel like writing...we R ready to read and enjoy it😃

and thanks for the appreciation on this OS dear.. ya Dutta had been kaafi rude to naku after learning about her fair skin but hats off to that ideal wife.. She still showered her love on him.. Fire cannot be pacified by igniting fire beside it.. Only water can clam down the burning sensation and Naku knew that.. hats off to that wife.. how lucky her husband was to have her in his life!😳
