Why physical relationships are such a taboo?

Sarla Maa and Pragya interactions in the last few episodes had me thinking over something!

Sarla Maa during TaBhi's recent mehendi had a bunch of dialogues to say about how Abhi is Pragya's husband/love and how they will always be together!

Yes she has had issues with Abhi when he didn't help Pragya immediately when she went it jail. She wanted Abhi to show extra ordinary trust in Pragya despite his ML situation. The point is she expected Abhi to trust Pragya as a lover/wife.

Then she again did some AbhiGya love worship after Abhi came to Palghar etc.

So the point is Maa ultimately shipped AbhiGya in a big way.

This shows she expects Abhi and Pragya to have trust in each other, care for each other, love each other etc.

But then when she heard Pragya could be pregnant, she got so angry. She did not suspect Pragya to have slept with random people (thanks heavens she didn't) but assumed it's Abhi! Let's assume Maa thought Abhi and Pragya slept post ML.

But my point is why does this irk Maa so much? She was blasting Abhi and slapped Pragya. Why was she so angry? She wants Abhi to care for Pragya like a husband and lover while he has ML. She believes Pragya loves Abhi very much despite ML whatever! Then why Maa has such big issues if Abhi and Pragya's love also got physical???

Isn't physical love a big and unique part of romantic love between a man and woman? Isn't that how world replicates and babies are born?

I do recognize that Maa worries about what to answer people about unwed motherhood!! But then why does she encourage AbhiGya love/relationship and trust? If a man and woman are in such a relationship, doesn't physical love become a part of it at some point?

Maa should not encourage one aspect of love and bash another aspect of it!!! What nonsense lesson it is she gives Pragya that it's okay to love Abhi mentally, emotionally but not physically?

I don't understand what is maa's problem on one hand she ships AbhiGya but on the other hand she is mad that they got physical.

If loving a person emotionally is not wrong then being physical is not wrong too & which society is she talking about.

Even maa raised her daughters alone, has she forgotten that, society always keeps judging you that doesn't mean you start living according to how society & people want.

Fine! Divorced woman should go to her husband and care for him kya?? Divorced memory lost husband should come running behind wife if she went to jail and show how much he cares??
Why Maa thinks Abhi should care for Pragya as if she is his love and wife but is freaking out if he also loved her phycallly?

Kulsum! I know families can react against physical relation. But then why encourage everything but physical relation between AbhiGya? It's just unfair! It's like Abhi should mentally and emotionally feel Pragya is his wife despite ML, but if he felt physically it's a big ISSUE! Maa should not allow any kind of relationship between AbhiGya if that is her issue. What will people say about her daughter working for her ex-husband, drinking lassi with him? Driving in his car etc...

PS: If Abhi ends up risking his life its love and bond.. if Abhi ends up sleeping with Pragya it's ghor anarth!!

I thought kumkum, 7 pheras, mangalsutra, kasams included sex also.

I mean when Husband and wife are supposed to fulfill all the promises or whatever it's called, isn't sex a part of it? If I am not wrong it is.

What's a big deal if they do it?

Does "being a wife" means everything except having sex with the husband According to kumkum Bhagya?

i don't know Tia.. but in my opinion roaming with abhi and drinking lassi with Abhi is not a big issue.. it comes under limit.. but physical relationship is not.. this is big issue for me.

Rishu, as Kulsum is saying Maa is angry because AbhiGya are divorced now (post ML). But my argument is if Bhagya and Kumkum hold good for Abhi saving Pragya despite divorce why not for physical relations! Lol.

If they are divorced why everyone keeps saying that AbhiGya are husband & wife. I remember Pragya said Abhi was my husband is & always will be.
