GBSC, if you haven't seen the early episodes of how Pragya married Abhi.. here is what happened.
Pragya's marriage alliances with a few men failed. Maa was worried that she is not getting married at all. Abhi's Daadi approached them with Abhi's rishta. Pragya who knew Abhi as a rockstar from the glam world thought they can't work as a couple. So she outright refused to marry him and even told him so by going to his house. But then Maa cried and convinced her that she has to marry. And Pragya agreed to marry him.

No they were not family friends. If I remember correctly there was a marriage broker lady who knew both families. Daadi never liked Abhi's way of life where he didn't want to marry etc. He was dating Tannu but they were both busy in careers and marriage was not their priority. But then Daadi was forcing Abhi to marry everyday.

Abhi proposed to Tannu to marry given Daadi was bent on getting him married but she refused because she had modeling contracts. At the same time Pragya's sister BB had fallen in love with Purab who was engaged to Aaliyah. So Aaliyah confused Pragya for BB and due to a misunderstanding and told Abhi that Pragya is trying to snatch Purab from her.

Meanwhile the marriage broker told Daadi about Pragya's family and Daadi felt a middle class and traditional valued Pragya will be the best match for Abhi. Abhi agreed to marry Pragya because he thought she will leave Purab and marry him because he has more money and that way he will also teach a lesson to gold digger Pragya. But Daadi beleived Pragya will fix Abhi's life where he is surrounded by wrong people due to his enormous fame and money.

Rockstar Daadi and BB were Abhi's fans from before and knew that Abhi is rumored to be dating Tannu. But they didn't bother to think about it when Abhi's rishta came. They were excited that a rich and good family (as per Daasi's words) came for marriage to their house.

The story had been pretty engrossing.

I started watching this show on a regular basis after tanu lost her baby.

Hence I do find the show refreshing n interesting.

But I'm a little slow in understanding the chrs.
