Dear Zindagi opened early in North America on Wednesday as it is a big holiday on Thursday for Thanks giving and its a pretty good start thouth there is no precedence for this type of film. There are films that have opened early in the market but generally they have been bigger films and most of them have recorded better numbers going back a few years. Those films have been bigger but it also has to be noted that many of them genre wise are not North America friendly especially likes of Bodyguard, Agneepath and Sultan. The weekend will probably be a better judge where the film stands and the North America market is likely to be the best market in Overseas. Below are the first day numbers in North America of major films which were released early and not on the traditional Friday. The number of sites is in brackets.
