But last night's episode forced me to write down my thoughts, because I simply loved the scene where Komal had to repent in front of everyone and ask for forgiveness. I know, emotionally it was a very painful scene, but I found it meaningful and very important scene in terms of story. Here are the reasons why?
Firstly, we saw the glimpse of the Lucky, who I thought we lost after the whole Marjorie and forced marriage fiasco. When he saw tears in Komal's eyes as she took off her veil, you can see from his expressions and his body language that he wasn't able to stand it. He says he did it because of his dad and his family and I believe that is true, but what stood out for me that he accepted Komal as his wife in front of everyone and saved her dignity. He could have just just stood there and watched just like his father and elder brother, but I could actually feel the anger vibrating from him when he realized what Komal was about to go through. Beautifully performed and executed by Prince. I am in awe of how much with time he is improving.
Secondly, I loved the fact that he called her Komal in front of everyone !!! I really don't like it when people call her Badho, because they say it more like a taunt or an insult. When her family calls her Badho, they do it out of affection, Also since she has been wed to Lucky and has joined the Ahlawat family, everyone other then Raghuvir calls her with every disgusting name they can think of which equals to the meaning of being fat. So him calling her Komal and giving her the respect that a wife deserves, was something I loved and appreciated. There is hope for Lucky just yet !!! š
Thirdly, I'm simply loving Komal's Bhabi's character !!! The way she was hurting when Komal was being insulted showes how much she cares about Komal and her family. I know she was one of the main reasons why Komal was forced to marry Lucky, but if we see it from her perspective it was selfishness yes, but it was also tough love.
All in all I feel we have seen a slight bit of progress towards Lucky and Komal's journey, but we still have a very long way to go, because Lucky the brat is still in his 'You have ruined my life and I hate you' mode š He seriously needs to grow up !! But that will take time, because with a mom like Malti, he is not likely to get any brains and conscience soon š„±
