That symbolism is quite deep 👏 I think it is also he associates all his pain and anger and frustration with Nandini and now Nandini's Dad was responsible for the biggest loss in his life

When coming to nandhini there is no rules and regulations for him which he followed throughout his life, like respect women, Ill treating is not admissible which r all getting out the window, with her he is no more a student, a friend or a sage but a vulnerable human bounds to no rules, totally nandhini is an exception to him, he don't want to follow any of the custom wen coming to nandhini

The more I think of it ... He breaks the rules with each of the women in his life ... Durdura as a friend and carefree, Helena as a fellow warrior and guide, and Nandini as you describe here

This is how unconsciously nandhini is grabbing his attention (even though through hate) which is not allowed for any of the women of his life, this exception called nandhini will also acts an exceptional in his love life, it is only with her he uses his heart in the form of anger which cannot be the outcome of mind

Very good point , he is applying his heart in a different way

She gonna be the one who can get the raw Chandra out of him and also she will be the woman whom he allows to travel deep inside him because till now (up to me) she is only one who touches his ego and has an adverse effect on him to the core , whose action means to him utmost. Till now it is nandhini who has upper hand in affecting his inner feelings

Yes, Nandhini will bring the heart connection ... That being said Nandini gets affected by Chandra too ... The sword fight with the dummy, how she wants to be part of the war to face him, how she agrees to marry Malayketu to make sure her Dad doesn't lose to Chandra
