but that is already done in QSQT and even Ishq-zaade.

Sairaat's story isn't different, The unique-ness is the way they filmed it. That rustic feel. There is a certain different charm to it.

Anji - Marathi movie and its audience are different than BW movie. So if KJo copies frame to frame, movie will flop. I haven't seen Sairat, am sure it derives from local culture. So it can't apeal to non Marathi people.
As you say, it's all about treatment coz story is cliched. KJo will spoil it for sure.
I can imagine Sridevi telling KJo - Baby needs to wear designer clothes, it's her debut - like Luck by chance mom, played by Dimple !!

you are right, Marathi culture wont appeal to many but it can be set in any rustic culture, like north indian, haryanvi...honour killing is a problem in all these areas...

but with KJO we know how its gonna be, 🤢
